Great old dive bar. Very clean super good crowd. Nice place to take in the game or just grab a bite and a couple of drinks.

One of our many stops while bar hopping. They always have a great atmosphere, and the staff is amazing, they always give really good cocktail suggestions, too. Definitely recommend stopping by here!

One of the oldest bars in California and you can't even sit at the bar. Dropped by on a Saturday after not having been in years and apparently the bar stools were Covid collateral damage. I get it, but I'm leaving this review in hopes that it promotes change. Staff was super friendly, but as-is, this place no longer qualifies as a bar

Don't come here unless you want to get stolen from. Bartender added an additional tip when she closed out my check, after I had left her a 20% tip in cash on my two drinks. I should have read the yelp reviews on this place before going because I noticed other reviews saying the same things (being charged more on their checks and stolen from). Clearly this is how the place runs and I'm sure the owner/managers are aware of this thievery. But if anyone does consider checking this place out, make sure to check your bank statements after !!

My beer was good but my brother and I got overcharged for our tips and the server was very rude when we asked about what drinks we wanted. I get it if it was busy, but it was an empty bar, and when we left the same guy called my brother out for not tipping enough. Also the bathrooms don't have locks and my friend and I had people walk in while we were inside. All in all a pretty poor place and quite disappointing.

During comic con they are empty. The door man lectured me that they will card to 120 years old. I asked what ABC , state or San diego code law or statue required that and he lied and made one up. The bartender was so busy flirting with the only person in an empty bar that she couldn't take an order. Good thing there are 100 other places within one block.

My family has been coming here for three generations. Always a great time and good relationship with the owners. I left my card there on Saturday, called on Monday to confirm it was there and just needed my id. Today I went to pick up my debit card and the most unhelpful/uncaring bartender was there. She half looked through and was clearly annoyed. So much disrespect from her I said ok I'll just cancel it since you're in a bad mood. All I got back was "yea". Just terrible.

Waited 40+ minutes for a burrito and burger and they gave themselves an 18% tip. Also saw a mouse running around in the place

Come in for it being a living museum of the old west, stay for the bar and generous pours. Unfortunately there's no opium brothel still running, not for lack of hard-as-nails rugged Stingaree tenacity the place still conveys. Not meant for the featherweight, yellow-bellied, namby pamby seeking social succor. Fun wranglers only.

Oldest bar in San Diego! Supposedly Wyatt Earp used to drink here. I love all the old photos on the wall. Service is friendly. Dogs are welcome.

Stopped in on Saturday to watch the NFL playoff games and have a few adult beverages. Darlene was behind the bar and did a good job taking care of me with friendly and efficient service. I did not have any food so can't comment on that. I would go back again the next time I'm in town.

It seems that when enjoying a night out in the Gaslamp Quarter we inevitably end up at Tivoli. Why? Why the hell not?Our wives went back to the hotel, so my buddy and I decided that a nightcap at Tivoli was just the ticket. It always is and it was this time again. It's always a good time. The bartenders are friendly, the vibe is always chill. People watching from he patio is great. The bathroom is the worst bathroom in the history of indoor plumbing.Drinks aren't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either.I will always have a place in my heart for Tivoli.

Tivoli is a classic dive bar in the gaslamp district of san diego. I was not able to sample the food as the kitchen had closed by the time I arrived. This is not an upscale place by any means but it is the quintessential dive bar: busy, with cheap bear, open late, and full of character. Flavor: n/aLocation: 5/5Ambiance: 4/5Service: 5/5Price: $Would return? sure

PROS: staff was very nice especially the young lady running the food section. CONS: no parking anywhere near it and the food was overpriced. The place is cramped and packed while the tables by the food section weren't cleanOVERALL: come here if you don't care about a dive bar experience but not if you're looking for a casual bar
