What a fantastic authentic bbq spot in mira mar. The service and staff are super friendly and accommodating, Matt is super freaking awesome and always takes care of my homies which always me want to come back. Don't pass up the opportunity to get their burnt ends (get em sauced, the wings are great, the platters are hefty, and the corn bread is probably one of the best sleepers on the menu. Try it yall!

I really wanted to love this place. The interior was agreeable. Perhaps they could have had menus you could view while waiting in line. I had the chicken and brisket sampler with 2 sides, Texas toast, and corn on the cob. The fountain drink cup I was given was kids size. The food was kinda bland imo. For brisket my go to's remain Coaster Saloon in Mission Beach and Grand Ole in Flynn Springs. Sorry Abbeys.

Food tastes good, but the portions are so small. Each time we've gone the amount of meat on the sandwich and the number of fries has decreased significantley. And for over $17 a "meal", which is only a sandwich and fries, it's not worth it. I love to support small businesses but unfortunatley the prices are too high for the portion size. I'm sorry but we won't be buying food from here any longer.

Chose this bbq place out of all the others in town and was disappointed. Brisket was dry & pulled pork was basic. I'd give it a 6/10. Needs more flavor. Than the guy decides to clean the table next to us & it smells like cleaning product that just ruins the meal.

I ordered the hot link platter, and my wife got the sampler plate. The food is very good and has huge portions. The BBQ beans were delicious.

The food again was AMAZING, there's always plenty of parking spots so that's very convenient. The place itself is very clean and the people working there are kind too. The food always comes out quick and it's always hot which I appreciate because other places serve almost cold meat. Everything we got this time was so delicious again! This if my to go spot when I'm craving bbq.

First the bbq sauce was incredible and I absolutely loved it. Service was fast and staff was very friendly. I just thought all of the food was okay. I liked it, but it wasn't quite hot enough when it came out and it was all just slightly dry. I would be interested to try the burgers and sandwiches but the combo plate was on the expensive side. I went during the week for dinner and bbq places tend to be better on weekends and earlier in the day so I'm definitely taking that into account too. Would absolutely be willing to give it another try, though!

Good was so yummy ! I cannot begin to describe how well our meal was prepared. I really recommend everyone do the sampler plates. It contains lot of what you want to try in this restaurant. The ambience is quite nice and homely. Super duper clean and the staff it's really fun to interact with. Everyone here looks like they're having fun and have great recommendations off the menu. Everyone is so polite here. I'm so excited to actually come back and try more of their menu.

The wings are phenomenal..! Try the garlic Parmesan and lemon pepper. Spicy bbq sauce is on point. Brisket is nice and the ribs could have been slightly tender (based on recent visit). Friendly staff and a great option for good bbq if you don't want to drive down all the way to grand ole bbq in El cajon.

Tried it today and Its not the flavor Im looking for, not sure why the beans comes with green pepper, I prepared the sweet kind like Phil's. The meat is just fine, but the sides matters.

Let me start off by saying the people were very nice and the service was actually really good. Now, of course, does the food. The brisket really wasn't that tender but it was cut with some decent thickness. The barbecue sauce wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good. It seemed like it was store-bought. I had the potato salad in my wife literally saw them scooping it from a tub so we know that was store-bought. It kind of tasted like it came from Smart and final. I also had the baked beans which had brisket in it and it also tasted store-bought and not really impressive matter fact, I didn't even eat at all. to be quite honest with you I really wasn't that impressed for them to say it's real Texas barbecue. I grew up in Central Texas, and I was somewhat irritated with the food they served me. The other thing I thought was I guess somewhat ridiculous was the size of their fountain drink cups. It's almost like they gave me a baby sippy cup. For people who didn't grow up in Texas don't be fooled this isn't real Texas barbecue. And for people who did well you already know. But again very nice people.
