Their strawberry shortcake birthday cake was so delicious- all my family and friends absolutely loved it. I will always buy it from them going forward. Plus their pastries and food menu are a must try!! Great service!

I've stopped here a number of times and my experiences have been mostly mediocre. Service is OK, but food is quite meh. They have a wide selection of pastries and one would have hoped that a French cafe would have good croissants, but no :(. While they look good, I'd rather have Costco croissants. They would be freshener and more enjoyable

Pre-ordering items for a birthday celebration should be simple and easy, right? Not at Arely's. They advertise themselves as a French bakery, but actually is a restaurant with a bakery side business, consisting of two cases with the cash register in the center. Upon arrival you wait in line while the restaurant customers pay their checks. Even after getting to the counter and telling the clerk that we are here for an order, she proceeds to process two more restaurant customers in line behind us. Finally, she goes to get the cake and can't find it. Comes back and we repeat the info. Now she has the cake, but where is the rest of the order? She doesn't know because there is no written order. We tell her what the order consists of and off she goes to find it. Turns out we get only some the scones we ordered because they are already sold out for the day. Ask why they were not set aside for our pre-order. Doesn't know. Instead of being in and out in 5-10 minutes, we are there for 25 minutes and leave with incomplete order. So, why bother with a pre-order for this level of service? I later call the manager and complain. She blames it on a new clerk who doesn't understand what to do. That is bullsht. The EXACT SAME THING happened to us a year ago. Obviously, this business is clueless about how to run a business. Needless to say, we won't be back to Arely's "French Fiasco".

Chose this French bakery out of all the others in San Diego & was disappointed. Tried a few options and all were plain and bland.

As a French person, Baguette was not authentic at all, taste like sour dough. Dissappointed

The cinnamon twist was good, rest of the breads had too much sugar.

Wendy was amazing, and I dined and dashed for the first time in my life! I thought my wife paid, but she just peed. Thank God, they had Cecilia's #. I made it right, and dropped another tenner. How do they do it?!?! I teach at a culinary school with 40 years experience.Well done Arely!!

This place is only getting 1 star and even then that's being generous. I was visiting out of town and came here with my friends for brunch. First off we came in and the hostess was extremely nice however once we sat down our waitress couldn't have cared less about our service throughout the entire time. We had 3 different waitresses and didn't get any waters until AFTER our tab came to the table at the end of our meal, and not only that but our food was lukewarm, then we also got mimosa bottle service and our juice was forgotten for about 5-10 minutes after we just sat with the champagne and then when our waitress finally brought the juice, she not only slid it on the table and walked off without checking to make sure we had what we needed but she continued to have an ugly attitude throughout out service. I would not come back here again nor would my friends, the food wasn't even worth the bad service. If you can choose somewhere else; there's better spots than this with more positive employees. Save your time and money!

I had looked at this restaurant years ago and dismissed it, but it has gotten so much better! It is now a favorite even though it is not located in a foodie part of town. Their crepes are superb, really succulent and fresh every time, and their pastries are also outstanding. I have enjoyed both breakfast and lunch here and am impressed with both. I am actually looking forward to trying their dinners, who would have guessed that this location could have produced such a fine restaurant. As a bonus it is surrounded by a large free parking lot. This is a true gem.

Arely French Bakery is the real deal. Whether you swing by for breakfast or dinner, you're in for a treat.Their breakfast game is strong with killer dishes like chilaquiles, Arely’s scramble, and top-notch croissants. And when the sun sets, they don't disappoint either. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo is surprisingly legit.Oh, and their coffee? It's like a warm hug for your taste buds. And don't even get me started on the pastries – they're dangerously delicious.Basically, if you're looking for a spot that nails both breakfast and dinner, Arely French Bakery has got you covered. No fluff, just fantastic food.

Used to come here during the pandemic but after trying many other French bakeries, I've realized how mediocre their food is. I stopped coming here. Finally went back yesterday since I was in the area. Their croissants tastes like they came from Costco. And their baguettes are horrible, mine was hard and tasted old. I've had better baguettes from Sprouts. I also ordered their New York cheesecake and the graham cracker crust tastes like cardboard. Definitely not coming back again. Staff was nice though
