This is a North Park experience. I am not a waffle person or a sweet breakfast person at all. Who knew goat cheese, avocado, and bacon with waffles could taste this good. Food was good but the atmosphere was very unique. It’s cozy like you’re camping out. Love all the art, too. Kid friendly.

The food was rrrrreeeaaaalllyyy good. The service was very patient with my indecisiveness. The ambiance was very quaint. Overall really good!Lastly, the laundry place was next door. Within one hour, I can eat breakfast, do two down comforters, bed sheets and a blanket!!!! This is really better instead of dragging the whole day doing laundry at home.

I do wish they stayed open later because I would so eat waffles for dinner .They also have a lil lemonade stand and omg best drink ever .btw I came from Victorville to try this place

I love the concept of a place just doing one thing so that they do it well. The waffles are delicious. Ordered it with cookie butter and me and my son both loved them. The atmosphere is eclectic and relaxing. We came when it wasn’t very busy so we didn’t wait for our food long. Recommend this place!

The speakeasy vibe of this place is a big part of the allure here. The menu is pretty limited (not many vegetarian options) but the waffles are tasty. Their whipped butter is incredible, but other than that it just doesn’t have that wow factor.

We ordered the number seven, the chicken nugs & waffles, and waffles & c.r.e.a.m. I highly recommend adding crunchy cinnamon cereal puffs to the waffles and c.r.e.a.m. as per Matt's recommendation, it was so good!Loved the chicken nugs & waffles too, such a good twist on chicken and waffles.Keep up the great work!
Had a great time with friends at this spot. Waffles are great and the Drewski's Lemonade is dope! Got myself a couple of bottles and I can go refill them at discount to take home. Very fun place to look around at while you eat too!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs in sight.

This place used to be so good!! The waffles used to be thick and filling, deliciously topped with fantastic ingredients. The venue used to have an incredible cool kitschy vibe that was always a delight to spend time in. The staff was always fantastic (though I don't have any complaints about the staff, they were still great). It feels like this place is converting from 'Atypical Waffle Company' into 'Typical Waffles' and I don't like it.I recently moved away and finally made my way back for the first time in about year. When I got there, half the menu was blocked out with blue painters tape as I'm assuming they just ran out of a lot of ingredients. I ordered what used to be my go to of the number seven and what used to be called the fresh & light. When I got it, what used to be an incredibly filling and tasty waffle was just a tiny thing that felt more like a generic waffle from wherever as opposed to the delicious liege waffles that used to be served here, and 'the number seven' which used to come with delicious thick candied bacon pieces instead had just strips of generic skinny bacon which didn't really work with the overall flavor of the dish.Added to that it looks like they're trying to get rid of more of the unique kitschy vibe and turn it into just tables in an alley instead of what it used to be. The more cool unique seating arrangements were removed to make way for generic tables, and the serving trays with the cool Atypical serving paper has gone away in favor of just plates. In addition they bumped up the price of everything by like 50%, which I wouldn't have minded if they didn't also reduce the size and the quality by 50% as well.

Great hidden spot in NP if you're a Belgium waffle lover... which who isn't? Decorated very cute and makes the most out of a small space. If it's you're first time going, make sure you pay attention to the entrance or you'll miss it. I ordered a bacon avocado waffle and a nitro brew coffee. Waffle was delicious! Guacamole was seasoned and bacon was crispy with some sort of brown sugar coating. The waffle itself was legit and didn't taste like some premade mix. Nitro brew was a little disappointing and was really an ice coffee. I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew this was what I was getting. Server was nice and offered to refund or replace, but I did need some caffeine and do like ice coffee so I kept it. Definitely want to come back and try the other waffles. Skeletor (last photo attached) also approved of the bacon and would like to try the chicken waffle next!

Literally everything about this "Hole in the Wall" is incredible! The food, the service, atmosphere and overall experience was perfect! I got my laundry done in the morning and waffles afterwards with my fiancé and we'll definitely be back!The chicken nugs and waffles are so savory and delicious, and the waffles and cream is so sweet! The greatest waffles i've ever had! Oh and don't sleep on the coffee!!!! It's perfect and i mean that!!
