The Thai basil is really really good. Have had a couple of other things and haven't measured up to the Thai basil. Reasonable prices for a solid serving.

My fav Thai place. Their curries are thicker which I like and it's casual and easy to get. My go to always!

The food here is amazing. The flavors are popping and the portions are perfect. Each of our dishes were cooked to perfection. We had to wait over 30 minutes to get our food and there are only a few (about 4) small tables outside. It's first come first served, so we had to stand like vultures to get a table after a family finished their meal. You order inside and either take it home or wait for an available spot outside. For ambiance, it's small inside with no seating. The food is excellent. I have 4 stars because of how challenging it was to sit and eat.

Please reopen in Hillcrest soon. I’ve tried 2 other Thai places and they suck. We love you Bahn Thai! Only thing, please switch to compostable containers. Too much plastic!

Finally!! A good Thai place! We both thoroughly enjoyed this place as well as the friendly service. The pad Thai was delicious, the yellow curry was super flavorful w/ properly cooked potatoes, the Tom kha was tasty. The chicken satay was not bad but the sauce was good.We will most definitely be back.

Believe the reviews! So good and great value. Very busy when I came for takeout within an hour to closing and over 10 people also came to pickup everyone was back out the door in less than 10 minutes. Highlights for us was the yellow curry, pad see ew, and mango rice. This is our new favorite Thai spot in SD.

I love Bahn Thai, and this location even more! I gave the other Bahn a five star as well, but this location is better in my opinion. The food is fire, like the other spot, but Hillcrest has better parking and the interior is far more nice. It's VERY nice! I took my food to-go, but I would love to dine in. Hihgly recommend anything on the menu, specifically the noodle dishes (pad Thai is fire), and the tom kha soup. I will undoubtedly be back here repeatedly.

First time here, and we would go again! The service was quick even though they were fairly busy. Prices are average for Thai food in this area. The food itself was good, I had drunken noodles (in photo) and my wife had Pad Thai. Hers was much better than mine. What I really liked, and this is more uncommon, was how spicy they made it for me! I like my spicy foods to taste like pain and they really came though! I've had many other restaurants around that were underwhelming in spicy, no matter how much I requested it.Another thing is I wish they served you on plates. All they have is plastic to-go containers. Seems wasteful and at this price point (for dining in) a bit under par.Overall the flavor of my drunken noodles was a bit bland and I wouldn't order it again but the pad Thai was delicious and we enjoyed the environment of the restaurant and will return!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available

Hands down the best Thai food in all of San Diego. I usually get the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, or Drunken Noodles. The Thai tea here is great too.Parking is difficult so you might have to park find street parking. There are a few parking spots in front for a quick pickup. For takeout, it's probably best to order online ahead because sometimes on a busy night, you can wait 30-60 minutes for your food.Vegetarian options: Tofu option.Parking: About 2-3 spots in the front. Other than that, probably have to find street parking.

TL;DR: no frills, tasty Thai dishes served quickly in takeout containers - great for quick bites and lazy-cooking daysOrder:- Choo Chee fish curry (3.5/5): This was a really flavorful red curry. That said, we were a little disappointed in how little fish actually came with the curry - ymmv. - Drunken Noodles (3/5): some of the noodles tasted a bit undercooked but still a good carb base Overall, happy with how quick and efficient the ordering process was to get the food to us asap. Will be back for the quick Thai fixCheers, Bahn Thai

Probably the best Thai food in San Diego. They started with 2 tables on Park Avenue and now have expanded to the old 'Davids' coffeehouse location. Simple elegance and the Currys are great and tasty! Reasonable price.

Parking is complicated at peak hours but was well worth the effort. A simple ordering experience and a beautiful setting to enjoy some wonderful food. Everyone was happy with their plates. The duck and the yellow curries were popular as was the firecracker chicken.

Finally found a place that has the perfect about of *SPICY* heat to add to a dish. Never could find a spot that would make their dishes hot enough when asking to make it spicy, but look no longer!! I'll easily be coming back here!Ordered for pick up the shrimp pad Thai for lunch, spicy (level 3) and it was perfect! Walked over and was ready within 15 mins. The women who rang me up was also very kind and welcoming. Can't wait to try out more dishes at an even hotter level!
