Great service. Great food. Clean bathrooms. Parking is hard so walk there and park by Mission Bay park. Had the burger with sweet potato fries and Sauv blanc and was delish. Trust!

Ordered takeout (coconut shimp, teriyaki plate, and a side of fries) and it was incredibly good!

There's been several different occasions with Bayside leaving a bad or should I say awkward taste in my mouth? For starters this place is advertising themselves as a Purdue bar, which is fantastic, but are they REALLY a Purdue bar ? -I call yesterday to inquire about the final four game and was told come on over. We get there and before I could even get my hand on the door to walk in the manager (buggy looking guy) bursts out the door only to awkwardly stare at us and ask what we want. I was assuming the Purdue sweatshirt would be a clear give away, but I didn't even get a Boiler up. Was told we needed reservations if we wanted to stay and were forced to leave. SERIOUSLY???WHAT KIND OF SPORTS BAR IN SAN DIEGO TELLS ME I NEED RESERVATIONS. Bro you're not a 5 star steakhouse. Also we should have been told on the phone earlier when I called we needed a reservation if that was the case, not a "Oh come on over". So I think the manager was just lying to me on spot to avoid having too many people which is absurd when you're advertising yourself as some big Purdue bar. -Additionally earlier in the year I show up for a regular season basketball game after being told the game was being shown there to find out they don't even have Big Ten network? It's like come on man get it together. Honestly the effort was there to try to be a Purdue bar, but your nothing like Purdue or what our campus would have to offer, kind of disgrace to our Name if you ask me. Would recommend not even wasting your time here!!!!!!!

Service is always hit or miss. They will have 6 people behind the bar and 2 people sitting at the bar waiting for menus or a simple hello for 10 mins. Came in on a Wednesday night at 9:30pm for a quick shot to celebrate our move. There were still people sitting at tables and at the bar. The man behind the bar says "you guys eating or drinking?" We said, "just gonna rip a quick shot of jameson" and the guy says "sorry we already did last call". What the heck?? I tell that story to all my employees when I say how NOT to act in this industry. What was the point of asking if we were eating or drinking? Thankfully Rockys let us come in and have a beer. We finished our beers before Bayside even closed their doors. A shot would've surely taken less time. If Rockys had hard liquor I would just skip Bayside altogether due to this one single interaction with Mr. MOD. Wildness. That was my first time there and I've given it a few more tries and it's never been a friendly neighborhood bar like it has the potential to be.

Not a bad place to stop for some good beers and food that is decent. It's seat yourself kind of bar and can be good for large groups as they have large tables. I will say they have a good selection of beers on tap that rotates. Service is definitely slow so definitely don't come here if you are in a rush.

Bad vibes here Came in with 4 people Sign said please "wait to be seated" staff rudely said sit wherever you want , we waited for 25 minutes and turned around to see 2 servers staring at us. When we looked at them they got up and went back into the kitchen without even giving us menus or acknowledgement the service is terrible and will never come back here again

The owners have the audacity to charge a "minimum wage fee" that has been deemed ILLEGAL by San Diego tax authority bc they don't pay payroll taxes on it WHILE THEY UNDERSTAFF THE FLOOR. One girl was literally running the entire floor and our service was extremely slow bc of it. She was trying her hardest and was an amazing server but the management failed her while gouging customers. I'll be filing a complaint with the IRS and will ask for a payroll audit. This type of scamming needs to stop. Either pay your staff more and CUT YOUR PROFITS or find another business endeavor. Your owners are cóŵárds in every sense of the word.

Solid neighborhood bar restaurant, decent selection of beer, food and drinks. Good TV setup and indoor outdoor seating.

This place has a brunch menu it supposedly serves 9 to 2. I've gotten the wings many times. Today they said they were only serving brunch items. But the wings and other items ARE on the brunch menu both printed and online. I didn't order anything and will never come back.

My server (I think his name was Jake) had great recommendations and provided 12/10 service. He recommend the teriyaki plate and it was to die for. I’ll be back!

Quality is crazy inconsistent on the takeout orders. Ordered spicy teriyaki and they gave me regular teriyaki. Ordered (and paid for) extra chicken and they literally just didn’t give it to me. Chicken is undercooked. Unfortunate.

food was terrific and generous portions. However not quite as dog-centric as billed. Our pup was welcome but patio very restricted area.

We love their sister restaurant in bay park (bay hill tavern) and tried here because we had our pup with us. Not again. Our Server acted put out when We requested to have the table and seat wiped off (there was water on both), we ordered pretzel bites to start and when they arrived after entrees, she mumbled “not what I had planned” but made no eye contact or apology. We Weren’t told of any dog meal options and when we asked (she’d seen our dog ?‍♀️) we were told they had several. We ordered chicken and rice and a side of teriyaki. No teriyaki came until ten mins later my husband got up and found her and requested again. When we’d almost finished our meals, we spotted the server walking outside and I tried to ask how much longer the dog chicken would take. she started talking to a passerby on the street and rudely told me “just a minute”- (I’ll be right with you a much better reply to us older, potentially bigger tippers) when she finished talking to the man, she didn’t come to me (i was right there) but walked to computer behind bar assuming she’d forgotten the dog meal and put it in? Who knows. She eventually came back to our table with a bowl of rice no chicken. Biggest takeaway, this girl was more responsive to man on the street and Rocky employee next door than she was to us paying customers. Maybe she doesn’t need the work? I’d suggest take out only at this place, as teriyaki chicken plate and chicken sandwich were good.
