I usually don’t leave bad review , but what’s wrong with place , first of all it’s too loud inside , people can not hear what I order , I ask for 1/3 of sugar , they did 125% , it’s so sweet I want to throw up , waiting was 15 minutes + just to order and than I wait another 15-20 minutes to get it , so total 30 m+ for the drink I can not drink and waist of money

Went there a total of four separate times, between when they first opened to a week ago. Kept giving them chances to redeem themselves before I finally learned my lesson.Do not come here unless you like throwing your money into the pit.There is seriously nothing redeeming about this place. The drinks are below mid. I once brought a group of 10 people here and the highest someone rated their drink was a 6/10. All my drinks have ranged from 4/10 to 0/10. Last time my bf got the peach oolong milk tea and we couldn't even finish it because we're fairly sure they forgot the sweetener... Please just go to wushiland or 85 if you're craving boba instead

I’m always in the mood for boba tea and had to stop here while we were exploring. They didn’t have any boba that day which was sad but they had mango popping boba and that was exciting enough. I got the mango yakult drink as those aren’t as common where I normally get boba. We are circling back here and I’m stopping by again for more for sure

BenGong's is heaven descended upon our earthly moral realm. Ever since I was born, my taste buds have been destined for greatness but none have ever sated my exquisite palate (I'm a wine connoisseur btw). Unbeknownst to the many ignorant, this society has suffered a drought of good food. That was until I heard through the grapevine about the wonders that was BenGong's. Intrigued, I wandered the alleys of UTC searching for this mystical haven. I saw its glory in front of me. It was beautiful. I had seen nothing like it before. It's glowing white sign. The flourishing wish tree. And then bountiful menu. The sight was wasted on my undeserving eyes. Yet, it stood in front of me, waiting for an order. It was all I had dreamt of since I entered this world. Steadying my step, I entered the domain. With so many options before me, my thoughts were at a standstill. Thankfully the person at the till, her name was Elizabeth, recommended their brown sugar milk. It was like she read my mind as I despised brown sugar milk TEA. How could anyone drink tea with brown sugar milk? Such an abomination abhorred me. But this establishment knew this fact as well as there was no brown sugar milk TEA on their menu. That's how I knew I was in the right place. Not many minutes after, I received my drink. I observed this ambrosia. The color. The cool touch. The container. Everything was perfect. I would like to thank the academy, my family, that one hamster from the movie Bolt, Elizabeth, the Constitution of the United States, and Elizabeth again. I will never go anywhere else ever again. I will never eat anything else ever again. I was born too late to see the dinosaurs. I was born too early for time travel. But I was born just in time for BenGong's Tea San Diego at the UTC.
Love the wish tree they have here! I also love how their drinks are not too sweet and even if it is too sweet for you, there’s options to change the sweetness level. The special boba milk tea (black tea brewed in milk) is by far my favorite milk tea they offer. Elizabeth took my order and she was patient and answered any questions I had! The drink I ordered was terrible, and there was a yakult wrapper inside, which I noticed by the time I almost finished the drink. Really disappointed that I paid almost $7 for this drink with trash inside. Never going again.

I recently ordered a large caramel boba milk tea and specifically requested no caramel on top. However, the manager, a lady, insisted that I either accept it with caramel or order two medium boba teas. I find it surprising that they couldn't simply exclude the caramel on the top, especially since it's a common customization. The lady's strict approach left me feeling somewhat shocked by the lack of flexibility in accommodating such a simple request.

they cut down their boba by a lot! they give a little more than half of what you would normally see at other boba places now, which is really sad :( will bring review back up to 5 stars if you guys bring back normal amounts of boba </3 other than that, staff is very friendly and helpful, and drinks are pretty interesting!

Ordered a Uji Matcha Boba Milk Tea. On the menu, it shows it can be hot or cold, I choose hot. When I looked my receipt, it cost 50 cents more for hot. Menu doesn’t say it. The lady doesn’t say it. Didn’t bother to argue. Just decided to vote with my wallet, will not come back again.

I stopped by BenGong's Tea on a Saturday evening and ordered a large #1 Special Boba Milk Tea which is supposed to be the most popular drink. I customized it with 25% ice and 75% sugar. It was pretty basic and I didn't think it was really special compared to a typical brown sugar boba milk tea except that the sides of the cup were coated with brown sugar. The boba was fresh, soft and chewy, but I didn't think there was enough boba to drink ratio., especially since it was a large size. Compared to Wushiland which gives you way too much boba vs. Bengong's which was too little, the ideal amount for me would be somewhere in between. I've also ordered the Burnt brown sugar boba milk tea and the Tiramisu special milk tea. Drinks are pretty sweet. I would recommend the burnt brown sugar boba milk tea but note it doesn't have a large size.There were a lot of workers which helped the line move quickly. I got my drink pretty fast. There is no seating within the shop but there are tables outside. The bathroom was out of commission.

Given it was a special, only the large size is offered, but I was still able to customize my sugar level. There wasn't as much boba as I expected and overall, the drink was OK. Pricing was a little high but not too bad.The storefront is pretty small without seating inside. There is a wish tree and an out of order restroom. I'd probably try another boba place in UTC mall first before coming back here.
