TL;DR amazing rustic decor with equally amazing new American-style food to match I came here on a weekday to hang out with some friends and was recommended by the attendant in their adjoining coworking space that the chicken sandwiches were the choice to make and it definitely didn't disappoint. Keeping it short and simple, I rarely ever crave new American cuisine since it's a hit or miss and some are good but most are mediocre with a price tag that isn't palatable, however, Bivouac was a clear exception The chicken sandwich was great, it was juicy and tender on the inside with a nice crispy exterior. The bun was lightly toasted inside and the cheese paired with the arugula and pickled onions were a blissful pair. The pickled onions cut through the fattiness and the arugula added a nice slightly bitter flavor contrast that I enjoyed Food aside, the decor was also well aligned with there themed location next door, the seating we had was a swing in a c-shape and moved all the c-shaped bench together which added a bit of thrill. It felt similar to a childhood experience and felt like one of those swings you'd have in your grandparent's yard or something similar Overall the setting and food were something I would come back to, if the interior was the only hallmark of this place I would likely not come back but the food from everyone I was with seemed to suit their taste buds well and equally fill everyone up

I've been here a few times including for a French food night celebrating Julia Child and for someone's birthday. Service and cider were great.

Wonderful food and cider. Came here with my husband who is celiac and there were so many gluten free options. Diego our server was great!

Chill spot with a good vibe. Fun selection of ciders, and if you catch them on a slow day they'll let you mix flavors. Food is pretty good too.

I love this place so much! The food is amazing and the ciders are so tasty. My brother also loves the hot chicken sandwich. Service is great. Vibes are superb. A go to spot

Many tasty ciders to try! I really enjoyed the San Diego Jam mixed berry cider. There’s also a great happy hour (weekdays 4-6), try the fries and the chimichurri meatballs.

Always a chill vibe at Bivouac. Management/ownership hires the best people. Everyone is always sooo friendly. I'm a beer girl and don't care for super fruity/sweet drinks, but I do enjoy my ciders every so often. This place is always on point because they offer both semi-sweet and semi-dry ciders, draft craft beer and cocktails to accommodate all tastes. I normally come here for a sip rather than food, but the food I have had is also very good. The meatball appetizer is on point, I wouldn't be mad if I paid full price for them since they are yummy, but the $6 happy hour deal is a steal.IDK if you know, but the owner makes a FIRE chili. They've won the chili cookoff at Sonofest a few years in a row now. I attended the Dec. 2023 festival and I can confirm that the chili is delicious. A few weeks back, they had a ton of off-menu chili specials which I obviously couldn't pass up.This place is great for a date night, happy hour vibes, etc. Stop by! They're also very dog friendly which is a plus for me. My dog even loves the atmosphere here because she always tries to go in when we walk by. :)

Great vibe, food was amazing, and a great selection of ciders! Came to Northpark, looking for a place to eat, and we found one that serves not only fresh food, but fresh root ciders there is a green tea one that was really delicious. Service is basically sit yourself down and post will come out to you to serve you. parking can be a bit hard to find so keep that in mind when you're looking for a place to park everything's kind of been walking distance so just remember that when you come.

Nothing bad about this spot. But nothing stands out to make it worth a return for us. Also not the best value for the price of the food and drinks. It was really expensive for two entrees and drinks. Nothing wrong with the food, it was decent. But wouldn't pay roughly $18-20 for mediocre dishes. Got the pollo asado tacos and hot honey chicken sandwich. I prefer pollo asado tacos from any taco shop in SD compare to this. But absolutely loved the fries! Perfect crispiness and flavor!I have to say, the cider here tastes amazing! We loved every pour we got, tried all the research/new flavors. It was hard for us to pay $6/5oz pour, not used to that. Not sure we'd come back because that's a little high (for us) for the amount of product. Our preference tends towards beer and whiskey, so that would influence where we spend more money per ounce.

5 stars across the board. Some of the best cider I’ve experienced. Food and service were also fantastic. We arrived during trivia night and the place was packed but still made room for us. Johnny went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed with regard to food and drink.

A rare treat in San Diego for cider lovers. I appreciate too the high quality lunch options selected for pairing with drink flights.

The new Adventure Lodge expansion is open! Yay! The cafe out front is a super cute spot to relax with a latte and watch the world stroll by. The fresh local pastries they serve up in the morning are scrumptious! The interior yurt-vibe is fun for afternoon cider tastings or can be booked for private events in the evenings! The little shop inside carries a variety of lovely adventure minded gifts and snacks to enjoy while lounging. Must check out the clever vending machine full of curiosities in the back hallway. Props for having one of those cool Elkay water bottle filling stations that aligns with their overall waste reduction initiative. What a great addition to the neighborhood!
