The vibe is great, food good, and service fantastic. Beware - the servings are large! We enjoyed the charcuterie plate (nice variety), the mussels and fries (yummy) and a nice salad. All nice tastes - but there was so much we couldn't finish our food. Our waiter was from Uruguay and was the right amount of engaging and attentive. By the way, the wine was good and affordable.

We were pleased to get in on a Friday night at 7pm without a reservation! Lucky us! The brussel sprouts were incredible! I had the potato gnocchi which was fantastic and my partner had a beef dish that he thoroughly enjoyed. The desserts were delicious pieces of art. Service was great, and we left very satisfied customers!

Just finished eating there with my husband and grown up daughter. We visit San Diego regularly from SF. My daughter and I were not too hungry and just wanted a charcuterie plate to share. Well first we walked in and loved the atmosphere. Then the three of us shared the charcuterie and my daughter and I shared the mussels. My husband had the plate of the day which was a salmon in mild curry. It was all excellent. What a find...off the beaten track. I recommend this to everyone and will definitely be back when in SD.

They were so kind and accommodating with my family. The food was delicious. The staff went out of their way to talk to my kids and even brought chalk for them to draw on the floor with. I cannot recommend this place enough.

They pick up the phone, put you on hold to verify if they can accommodate and they just hang up at you. Heard it from couple of friends as well. Wouldn't suggest.

My husband and I walked in with another couple who were seated at a nice table without a reservation. We had a reservation and were seated at a less desirable table. Our server,Nate took our cocktail order, but proceeded to walk to a nearby table and chat with a couple he obviously knew. We flagged Nate down several minutes later to place our order(still waiting for cocktails). Our appetizers came 40 minutes after we were seated. Then the empty plates sat in front of us for 20 minutes. We attempted to flag down the hostess, but she was too busy talking to the earlier forementioned couple that Nate knew. We felt intentionally ignored.Did Nate forget to fire our orders?Meanwhile the couple that walked in with us had eaten, paid and left. Our dinners showed up,but were clumsily served because our appetizer plates hadn't been cleared. At that point I was so hangry I had lost my appetite. I had Nate box my leftovers and asked that he include the aioli that came with my meal which he assured me he had (but he didn't). The food was okay, but owner needs to tighten up service.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My mother and I booked a reservation through Open Table at the wrong location; however, when we arrived at this location they did not hesitate to seat us AND called their sister location to kindly cancel our reservation. The food was delicious... especially the French Onion Soup.Great staff, relaxing environment, delicious meal. One of the best dinners in San Diego.

Very Pretty/Intimate Restaurant. It definitely reminds me of a rustic restaurant in France. Very Romantic Date Night restaurant with a parking lot attached. Food: was good; but not wow. I love the elegance and simplicity of the dishes, best part of the meal was the Belgian Chocolate Torte.

Fabulous dinner at the OG of the Bo-Beau locations! The gracious hostess found us a table after we realized we'd booked online but at their La Mesa location, thank you for that! The Beef Beurgignon was top notch, French Onion Soup so, so good and the Salted Caramel Chocolate Torte...divine!!

The host was so kind when we realized we had made our reservation at the la Mesa location not OB. They had us seated quickly and while it was busy the wait times were normal. The brussel sprouts were amazing! I had the muscles and couldn’t even finish them there were so many. The burger, French onion soup, charcuterie, and steak frites were all to our liking and we look forward to dining here again.

The food and the atmosphere are great, definitely going back. Definitely recommend the salmon tartar. It can get a bit price with the wine consumption so look out for that.

The building and decor provide a nice old world vibe. The menu is priced very much in the affordable mid range, unlike many French restaurants which tend to be very expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed the food (I had the Moules Mariniere; other family members had the salmon and the chicken). Portions were large. Desserts were yummy.

We are big fans and regulars of the Cohen family restaurants. Tonight at Bo-beau in Ocean Beach, my birthday dinner was the best. It started off by a warm welcome by Luna at front desk. It continued on and Ashleigh made my birthday dinner so special. Thank you, Luna, Ashleigh and the Cohen Family for continuing the fantastic food and phenomenal service.
