This place was really great for gelato. The location was nice as well. We got our gelato and walked down to a near by park that gave us a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed the moka, coconut, chocolate, and berry vanilla flavors which were amazing. I’m definitely going back to taste more flavors and maybe even get a pint or two.

In a 5-night La Jolla visit we haunted Bobboi 3 of those nights. Our family of 4 tried every combo imaginable and every last one was amazing! The staff were all super friendly and accommodated our every request. Pro tip Bacoi and Salted Carmel is where it’s at!

After dinning at Blue Ocean we wanted to go get some gelato here since we overheard some people taking about it on the street and saw it was full of people. I opted for the Medio (Medium) half Pistachio Della California and half Dark Chocolate. I knew this place was legit once we walked in and all of the gelato was covered. The girl offered me a sample of the Dark Chocolate after I asked if they had any chocolate flavors which was nice. I absolutely loved the Pistachio flavor and the chocolate was a nice one too! My friend enjoyed their Gelato as well. They have some seating on the outside patio of the store and the beach is a short walk away so it's in a great location! If I'm ever in La Jolla again looking for some Gelato I'll definitely be back!

Came because of the reviews, loved the gelato, and the guy serving was patient and friendly. What more could you want? Dark chocolate gelato! Yum!
Randomly are here despite being chilly. There's a nice selection of dairy and non dairy gelato. The staff are courteous and keep the gelato covered for maximum flavor/creamy texture. I ordered the pistachio and salted caramel cone. Seats limited and no restroom but there's public day toilet at the park a block down.

I love visiting this place every time I go to La Jolla cove! It's a cute small shop near the walkway around the cove and has so many nice specialty flavors and vegan friendly options. It's very silky and creamy like gelato I had in Italy and I would totally recommend it if you come and visit. Their charcoal vanilla is really good ik it sounds a bit odd but it is worth it. The staff were very kind and friendly and the seating is minimal but made sense for the shops size.

The gelato itself is undeniably good, crafted with care and quality ingredients, yet the premium cost attached to it seems disproportionate, making it hard to justify buying. This aspect significantly diminishes its overall appeal, particularly for those who are mindful of their spending or compare it to other available options. Personally, I wish I just grabbed a pint of Ben and Jerry's from the supermarket. Unless money is no object, I would not recommend Bobboi's due to the price point.
