Don’t use their website to order. I placed an ”ASAP pickup” order at 11:15AM, and once it processed it says “pick up at 4PM”. I called in immediately to try to fix the issue, but was met with push back that I ordered incorrectly and they didn’t have my order. I triple checked and made sure I ordered off their authorized website. The woman couldn’t help me over the phone and told me I could come in at 4PM for my order or “cancel”. I told her there was no option for me to cancel…. So I went inside (work is right next door) to try get a refund & prevent them from wasting food at 4PM, and that was another awkward conversation. I understand the worker is limited on what she can do, but I showed her my emailed receipt for proof. Maybe I don’t understand food service, but I figured they could make my order now & not at 4PM… simple? After going back & forth for 15 mins with calls to the owner, they made my order but I won’t ever be back. I paid them $20 for fried rice and to be made feel I was trying to scam them or something was truly demeaning. I can relate that technology is frustrating but it’s not your client’s fault your online service is glitching. After all that I have no appetite for their food.

Came here for dinner around 18:45 on a Thursday with my family. It was not busy at all so we were seated right away. We were provided water right away and given time to look at the menu. I wanted to order the Crab Meat Fried Rice, but they did not have everything to make it, so I went with the Panang Curry with spice level 2. My wife got the Panang Curry level 4 and my mom got the Chicken BBQ Fried Rice. Everything was really delicious and flavorful. The place had lot of decorations and looked clean all around. The staff was quick and friendly. We would definitely come back for more, especially the proximity to our home.

5 out of 5! This place is the best thai food I've ever had. I got the Beef Pad See Ew at a level 7 heat and it was heaven in every bit. Noodles cooked to perfection and the beef was tender with a nice sear to it. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

The food was great and all the sauces they had to. I went here with my baby’s brother and mom the people serving us were really nice to my family the food was well seasoned and is definitely worth the money for such a large portion of food there’s not a lot of what you ask for but it’s with it. Definitely

Omg! Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. They stole $20 from me. I ordered Pad Thai w/ chicken and the order stated it would be ready 10-15min after they opened. When I took the first bite it was bland! You could pick up the noodles like it was a sheet cake. It was gummy and stuck together. I also asked for chili sauce Siracha and the lady acted like they didn’t have any. Then when I asked for my money back due to the horrible meal, they had the NERVE to argue with me. Keep the little funky $20 and by some customer service classes. How do they issue business licenses to places like this?! Crazy?! The owner states I didn’t want to bring the food back. That’s a lie. I couldn’t even get a word in becuase they were so busy arguing with me instead of trying to make it right. Try their food if you want to. You’ve been warned.

Most of these bad reviews are garbage, probably competitors. This food is AMAZING. I love Thai food, but authentic Thai, not watered down American Thai. California Thai Cafe is amazing. This is a great place to go for lunch. Every dish I've eaten here is superb. If you work in the area or are at one of the auto shops nearby or live on base, this is one of the best places you can get a bite at.

My adult daughter and I went here for the first time. It was dinner on Easter Sunday. We were hoping for good Thai food. We walked in and saw only one table (with 3 people) filled in the whole place. At the time we thought we were lucky. Afterwards we realized why this place was almost empty. The seating hostess was a young lady who followed us to the table of our choice and was nice enough, if it hadn't been for her extremely strong body odor and day-old sunscreen smell. And I do mean *smell.* We ordered our food and she brought us tea as we requested. I ordered Yellow Curry (spice level 1) and my adult daughter ordered Pad Se Ew (spice level 10). We know Thai food. We've eaten tons of it over the years and we know how it's supposed to taste. Of course, there are slight variations between restaurants, but primarily when you order a staple Thai dish, you know what to expect. We also ordered (veggie) egg rolls. They were, predictably, over-fried. They were also tasteless. If not for the dipping sauce, there would have been no flavor. Our food came in huge portions. That should have been a clue right there. In my life (I'm in my 60's) I've discovered that restaurants that serve huge portions are trying to make up for their poor cooking. My yellow curry came with a bowl of rice that would have served 5 people. The bowl with the yellow curry was huge and filled almost to the top. I added some rice and began to eat. I immediately started to cough and choke - it wasn't spice level 1, it in was more like level 5! I soldiered on. I bit into the huge chunk of potato and it tasted off. I've never had a potato ever taste like that. In any cuisine. The carrots in it were ok, the onions were too hard still. I ate about half and stopped. I'm hoping that potato doesn't do a number on me later. ? My daughter had taken a few bites of her Pad Se Ew and pronounced it as inedible. She said the noodles tasted like salt, pepper, and chili peppers, while the tofu tasted like black bean sauce. My daughter mostly eats Thai, Indian, and Vietnamese cuisine. She also cooks it at home for herself and her guests. She knows good food. She refused to eat another bite. I called over the male waiter and asked if he was the manager. He said he was. I told him the problem with my daughter's food (she is 30 but was too embarrassed to complain) and he could see it was barely touched. I asked what he'd do about it and he acted offended and was at first unwilling to do anything. He finally said he'd offer me a discount for our next time there. What was I supposed to do - argue with him? When the young lady brought us the check (by the way, everything was very overpriced considering the neighborhood and quality of food), I saw a card on top offering 10% off to "special guests." I guess in this instance, "special guests" means those people stupid enough to return for more dismal cooking. The card accidentally fell on the floor and I left it there where it belonged. I told her we wouldn't be back. As we were leaving, I heard one of the men at the other table also express displeasure with their meal. What a surprise! Not. I believe with all my heart that this restaurant will be out of business in 6 months.
