Love how they let you try samples of their tea from the seasonal section of the menu! The blueberry fresca with boba was addicting! The boba was nice and fresh. All the drinks came out very quickly which I was impressed by. The place itself has a bit of searing for those trying to work. On a Sunday afternoon it was filled. It has a nice modern vibe for those trying to work.

My favorite boba place in San Diego, and I've been to a lot of places. Their boba is the best I've had, perfect texture and flavor. I love their thai tea, matcha, and strawberry matcha (seasonal drink)

Camellia Road tea bar is excellent. We had a little trouble finding it. It is to the left of rockler, and under the same awning as rockler. It doesn't say anything about Boba on the outside, but it does say Camellia Road. For vegan options they have oat and almond milk. It was nice to have those selections. I don't do caffeine and they didn't have taro. So I selected the least caffeinated tea. The menu is organized from least caffeinated to most caffeinated teas. I had a simple milk tea with the tea that was the least caffeinated with standard honey Boba. I did 25% sugar and light on the ice. The temperature was perfect on a cool day. I may could've used a little more sweetness, as the Boba was not that sweet. This was a new flavor of tea for me. It sort of tasted like roasted grass. Different, but now knowing the flavor, I would try it again with probably 50% sweet. The staff was really really friendly. Also, they had a very clean bathroom with a code on it. This is also in the same parking lot as Diaso, the Japanese, dollar 75 store. For sure try this Boba tea spot out. Oh, I forgot to mention they brew all of their own teas. It's not like they're using a powder mix. Love it!

Wow. This tea place is legit! I got the oolong milk tea with chrysanthemum jelly. The jelly just enhances the oolong, bringing out more floral notes. It was so good, I wanted a second drink, but I resisted. Would highly recommend! I got my drink with 50% sweetness, less ice, and it was perfect.

Only reviewing the flavor and quality of the drink since it was brought to me by a friend. Ordered the strawberry hibiscus Fresca and it was so goooood!!! Very refreshing after a hot day! Loved how the strawberry and hibiscus wasn't overpowering each other.

This is definitely one of the best boba places in San Diego! Especially since it's locally owned the quality is very good. I always get the tea frescas - premade fruit teas. The seasonal offerings are always great and I especially love the ones with blueberry and hojicha. The tea frescas are super affordable ($5). The boba is always super chewy and has a strong honey flavor, so if you don't like honey, get another topping. They also have customizable tea options with what kind of milk, tea, and toppings (the tofu pudding is always good). I always make sure to stop by here if I'm in the area!

Amidst the buzz claiming Camellia Rd Tea Bar as the best boba spot in San Diego, my expectations were high. However, upon trying it, I couldn't help but feel a tad disappointed. While I appreciate their use of real tea in their drinks, the consistently hard boba was a letdown. Despite multiple visits, hoping for improvement, their boba milk tea with oat milk always comes out a bit too watery for my liking. However, I do enjoy their Chrysanthemum jelly - a refreshing alternative that adds a floral twist to their drinks. The ambiance, while not extraordinary, is typical with students and laptops abound. One redeeming aspect is their rotating monthly specials, which keep me coming back in anticipation of new menu items. In conclusion, while Camellia Rd Tea Bar falls short of the hype for me, it's still worth a visit, especially for those intrigued by their Chrysanthemum jelly and eager to explore their monthly specials. I also do feel that their service could improve as well.

We ordered... - Chrysanthemum milk tea with Chrysanthemum jelly is good and unique. Feel fresh when drinking it. It goes very well with jelly. The aftertaste is a little bitter maybe is because of Chrysanthemum tea. - Thai milk tea with honey boba is alright. It is regular flavored that you could get anywhere. Nothing is special. Even it is a top three popular tea in the shop but this tea is lacking of Thai original tea flavor and can't even smell Thai tea. It is very sweet. Love the honey boba. The service is good and very busy not much available seats to sit. The restroom is clean.

Camellia Road has high quality teas with unique flavors. The boba is also perfectly soft and sweet. They have a normal menu along with a seasonal one that has fun drinks to try.

This is the only place I come to for milk tea. High quality and strong teas which is how I like it! Favorites are jasmine, hojicha, and genmaicha but everything I've tried there is good. Workers are always nice and service is fast. Atmosphere is also good for studying if you don't mind the occasional busy spurts once in a while.

I think Camellia Road is one of my top favorite boba spots in SD! Drinks: The quality of their tea is just amazing. The tea flavor is so robust and their boba is the perfect chewiness. I love that they have monthly drinks as well. I recently got the strawberry matcha and it was so good. It was around $7 for a drink but for that quality, I'm happy to pay. Interior: I studied here for about 4 hours. There's about 2 bigger tables and 3 smaller ones, which were all occupied the entire time I was there. I was lucky enough to find a table for myself. They also have wifi and outlets everywhere! Service is always quick as well. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 5 minutes tbh! if ur looking for a boba spot in sd, I'd highly recommend!

I like the deep flavor of Camellia Road! It's authentic and you're able to taste the actual tea flavor without it being overwhelmingly sweet. They always have seasonal drinks which they allow samples of- they're usually unique and worth a try.

I've been looking around for a good place to buy loose leaf tea. I noticed Camelia Rd was nearby. I stopped by and bought 100 grams of Floral Tie Guan Yin which is an oolong tea for $20. It had a fresh and light floral flavor I loved. There weren't too many options at the tea shop but I noticed more options on the website. I filled out the form on the website asking if I order some tea and pick it up instore. After a month and no response I wrote this review. The experience at the store was great. The cashier was nice and answered all my questions. The experience on the website was terrible as my question was never responded to. I would never order anything on the website as if there is a problem you are unlikely to get a reply.

I've grown fond to Camellia Rd Tear Bar and after a couple of tries I would be back! This place was quite popular for several years now, and I've noticed it has kept up with the consistency and the crowds. A long line was present as we entered on a Sunday and a vendor was also promoting her products. The menu is only at the register along with some paper ones in the front so I would suggest looking before getting in line or while you're in it. My favorites are their Hojicha Milk Tea and their seasonal Strawberry Matcha Latte. You can't adjust the sweetness on the special drinks and tea frescas, but that's perfectly fine because it's not overly sweet and the measurements are just right! Needing the Strawberry Matcha on the current menu, but I am definitely a fan of their teas here and you won't find any creamer powders or artificial flavors in their drinks!
