We spent Valentine's Day here, when they were clearly dealing with challenges. The food and staff were good enough under challenging circumstances that we decided to return. Service was wonderful and fast. Their fried calamari is a crowd favorite for our family, as is their freshly made bread. I had the cioppino which was amazing and definitely the best of the items we tried. My son had fettuccine Alfredo which was not on the menu, but which they made special for him. He loved it! My daughter had the gnocchi tricolore which she liked very much. The marinara was her favorite and the pesto was the one she enjoyed least. My husband had the veal parmigiana which he said was good, but he and my daughter decided that they will order the cioppino next visit. Staff were accommodating, quick and very friendly.

7:00P reservation through OT - We were seated approximately 7:45P Hostess mentioned about half the restaurant staff had called out for the day - Which was very sad considering it was V-Day. Knowing that, guess I don't have to go into much detail about the service, etc. but it was all fairly poor. Hostess and bartender were doing their best with the limited resources but overall experience was bad. Wife's plate was decent and looked on par with the cost but mine looked like it came out of a cafeteria. I took a picture of it after having taken one small bite of the Veal Picatta . . . totally cafeteria - and food was just barely warm.

Went on Valentine's Day. Had a 6:30 reservation which was clearly the busiest time of the evening. They were clearly short staffed at this time but every single person we interacted with was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Service was slow to start but picked up as the night progressed and more staff came in or were freed up. We were seated outside as that was all that was available when we arrived. You lose the ambiance of the restaurant but with the heaters on, we were comfortable and it was actually quieter so we were able to converse easily. We went with the attitude that it was Valentine's Day so expect a wait, but as long as we were together and out without kids, we were determined to make it a great night, which it was. Wine and cocktail selections were good. There was a limited menu with a variety of selections. The fried calamari was delicious but I would have preferred if it stayed in the fryer 1 minute longer. We decided next time just to ask for it on the crispier side. My husband got veal piccata which was served with potatoes and vegetables. The dish was good but the star of the evening was pappardelle with lobster medallions in a brandy cream sauce that was divine. Disappointed that they had run out of espresso beans so we could not finish the meal with a cappuccino. All in all, we had a fun evening and will return to try their regular menu and enjoy the ambience inside.

First, understand that I was a Manager and District Manager in the F&B field for 13 years so what I'm about to say comes from experience. Upon entering, we noticed it was "cool" temperature wise. It remained that way throughout our meal. The table next to us also mentioned how cold it was. That in itself isn't conducive to keeping food at a good temperature. We had made reservations and when we came in to the front desk, the Manager barely acknowledge us, was busy doing something and mumbled that she would be with us in just a second. We then stood there for another 5 minutes with no one at the front desk. Our waiter seemed to be either over sat or just wasn't in the mood. He was perfunctory but not terribly engaging. He took our order but when it was delivered, my Veal Scaloppini had morphed into Sea Bass. Since it took a bit more time than I had thought it should, I took the meal anyway. One thing I did notice that our waiter as well as the others had tunnel vision. For some reason they avoided eye contact with the guests unless it was required. I saw the Manager on the floor only once. I had to ask for a second drink since our waiter didn't approach me. Also, my date asked for coffee and 1) was told they would have to make some 2) when it came, it was lukewarm. The waiter later said the water was lukewarm for the coffee maker. All in all, what was meant to be an enjoyable special dinner turned out to be less than expected. We left without ordering the dessert my date wanted and ended up at Sees Candy. Not a good Valentines dinner by any means. Terry Schultz (520) 472-0720

Capri Blu is generally a nice place to eat but make sure they don't have live music before you go. We had a poor experience last Saturday, mainly due to a "live music event" (out of a respect for the elderly gentleman who was performing). The noise level in the restaurant was unbearable and the kitchen was badly backed up and took a long time to get the food out. The waitress was very gracious and handled all the complaints with professionalism but we had to go to a different restaurant to have desert in peace. Other than that, the food is good and the portion generous.

Was very short staffed Had to ask for a waiter to take our order after sitting for a half hour Order came out 40 minutes later after we pressured staff to look into it Wife's chicken dish had a very thin slice of chicken Friend got Pasta with eggplant with only 4 bites of eggplant that got served 20 minutes after everybody else's dish My veal parm was very good but vegetables were cold, and they brought me out another portion Waitress brought bill without offering desert Manager adjusted the bill after we complained and did not charge for pasta and eggplant dish

Service was average...restaurant was not crowded. Main course was served while we were still enjoying our salad....felt a bit rushed. Wanted to clear plates while still eating. Server misunderstood directions regarding gluten intolerance....meal was served with bread!

I don't usually write reviews but thought I'd share my families experience. The food and happy hour prices were great, but the service was not warm/friendly. My family and I felt like a bother to the waiting staff but the hostess was kind. We're very low key/easy going peopl

Our party of 4 enjoyed our time together celebrating New Year's Eve, and typically Capri Blue is a top-notch restaurant, however, we didn't find the food or service up to par. The appetizers, salad and entrees are usually served in succession, unfortunately, the courses were rushed, leaving the table a mess of dishes with half-eaten salads and hot food squeezed into any open space. The hot entrees arrived with no regard for presentation or visual appeal and tasted just as lackluster. Fortunately, there was live music and the crowd was enjoyable. I would still recommend Capri Blue to friends because we never experienced this before there, and they were probably overwhelmed by the large turnout.

The smell of gas was very strong in the front area and where we seated too. We informed our waiter who opened front and back doors and came back saying it was nothing. Then it got too cold with doors open. Our appetizer contained at least two week d lettuce! With the very low lighting it was hard to detect at first. The cioppino was excellent as was the marina. The chicken with Gorgonzola was very overpowering and the polenta tasted like a brick of Parmesan cheese. Our waiter was very attentive though.

I realize today is Valentines Day, but the dining experience we received at this restaurant today was beyond horrendous. My wife and I had dined at Capri Blue many times, and have entertained guests several times. Today we made an early reservation and were seated in a timely mannar. When nobody came by for quite some time, I asked an employee to ask our waiter to please stop by and at least take a drink order. We felt it wise to order our entire dinner order to avoid further delay. After over an hour had passed, I politely asked our waiter if we were too be served soon. He said yes. That was the last we had seen of him for another 25 minutes, when I finally asked another employee to give me a bill for the drinks...that waiting well over an hour for even our salads and appetizers to be served was unreasonable. It would have been nice for him, or the manager to stop by to apologize for this unacceptable dining experience, but even that did not happen. So very disappointed that our Valentine dinner was ruined. We left hungry and extremely fustrated. Rick & Cindy G.

Poor service from our server. Was there for Christmas Eve? And our waiter seem to be resentful of the fact he had to work. Disappeared midway through and never came back. Manager had to bring me the check.

Delicious food, loud bar area even though we were in the dining area. Service ok. We weren't ready to order so waiter left and it took a long time for him to come back and take our order. Overall though, good experience.

We were seated in the bar since the Sunday night football game was showing on the television, but it was not too loud so that we were able to enjoy visiting with our friends over the TV. Three of the dishes were good, but my wife's Vitello alla Saltimboccawas over salted. We should have sent it back, but the kitchen had already gotten our dining companion's order wrong. He had ordered Osso Buco, but the server brought him the fish special instead.

The food was not the best and environmental aspects of this location are below the standard your might be expecting from the pictures and write up. Go elsewhere if you want good food.
