My family and I stopped by today before heading to the Padres game. the waitress came by with in 5 minutes so not bad. This place was not busy at all. . They did not offer us any chips and salsa but I also did not request for any . When we did order probably 15 minutes after arriving the food took a long time to come out proby 15-20 minutes. All our orders were simple 3 burritos and two orders of tacos . The food came out cold not even warm just cold the taco carne asada and birria very fatty . I had to ask for salsa to give the food some kinda of flavor but even that was just not worth it. I would never eat there again cold and food with absolutely no flavor. We did eat the majority of our food but I know it was because we were all so hungry. Don't wast your time or money . Poor food quality

Took an hour to get our food. They only had Teo waitress for the entire place. Chios were stale, guacamole had no flavor. Margarita tasted like it was made with old mix. So

Limited menu but in convenient location. Clean and festive environment, comfortable and relaxed. I went for lunch so didnt have drinks even though drink menu is enticing. Food was delicious, quality, well made. Definitely will go

The service sucked as we were sitting here for A while for Drinks. Then when I got the food my salsa was tomato sauce and there was a hair inside my salad. Food tasted bland do not recommend Taco Bell is better. chairs suck my hips don't fit. If you're big booty judy don't come.

Food is excellent. Best chimi in downtown San DiegoUnfortunately I'm finding that several restaurants are losing my yelp orders. From now on I'll only call in out takeout orders

My coworker and I stopped by to grab some food before heading to East Village Brews. Overall, the staff was super friendly; I think there was only one front of house team member on the clock, but she was attentive to us, despite us only placing a to-go order. Inside, I was surprised, pleasantly, by how clean the restaurant was - it definitely felt upscale and was kept up as such; complimenting the near $20 burritos. About those... To be completely honest, I'm not sure if ordering a burrito is "the move" here. I grabbed the fajitas burrito w/ chicken, and though it WAS delicious, the burrito was poorly wrapped, and falling apart within the first few bites. On top of that, the quantity of food was mediocre in comparison to the most basic taco shops that offer more at half the price. My thought is that this is a better place for drinks and entrees, rather than a value-packed lunch spot. Keep up the great work in maintaining the ambiance & cleanliness, but wrap those darn burritos better for $20! Should be near perfect for that price.

I’m not sure how a Mexican restaurant in downtown San Diego is worst than On The Border. There Cisco heated entrees are worst than what you would get at Del Taco or even Taco Bell. Save your money for something that at least inspires you not to throw up.

Took forever to get chips. The queso also didn’t have chips. Food was like going to Del Taco. Over priced for what you get. Should have eaten Petco.

This authentic Mexican restaurant had the look and feel of Mexico. The decor is amazing. Our waitress/bar tender was really good. She was busy but we did not have to wait for anything. The drinks are really good with a lot of fresh ingredients. Where there was a problem was the food. I had the quesadilla with chicken. It was large but with very little personality. My husband had the fish tacos and they had a “funky” taste. We both had tummy problems throughout the night. May go back for drinks but not food.

I live and work right nearby and am lucky to go here often :) great staff, great food, always accommodating! Amazing if you’re going to Petco Park, great pre and post game vibe and great for groups.

If you need a place to grab a pre Padres game libation and delicious meal, look no further than Carmelita's. Located right across from the ball park , it's a great location. I had the grilled pineapple jalapeños Margarita and it was delicious! Then we shared the Seafood Ceviche Guacamole and chips and Chicken quesadilla- YUM! Check them out the next time you're in town.

I really like Mexican food.Had taste for Mexican street corn. After ordering it. Was told that they were out, and to come back around 3pm. Decided to stay anyway to try the shredded pork tacos. The pork was overcooked to a crisp, and dried out. However, it was seasoned well. The service was great, but I would not recommend, as the food was just ok.
