Great half pound burger and chicken sandwich, freshly made, fries were great. Excellent lunch time deal including craft beer. Looks like a mom and pop place, friendly service. Was busy at lunch time

Amazing Chicago dogs, Italian beef sandwiches all accompanied by great fries and $2 tap beers. Friendly native Chicagoland owner completes the experience.

Service is excellent! Food is great. And affordable. We got some burgers and fries and they came with a drink at a very reasonable price. The person who took our order was pleasant and offered options to get our order sooner if we decided to order take out again. We will be back!

The food and service was awesome. Takes me back to Chicago, genuinely. I forget his name, but I believe it was the owner, super straightforward and honest, after chatting with him even offered to make my dad a special meal next time he came just for him. Lamb burger is insanely good. Recommended to all my friends and the once that tried it liked it too. Really unassuming place, great for lunch or before/after shopping at UTC

Truly truly a super delicious Burger. Please see the photos I took, they speak volumes to the quality. These are all Char-Broiled Burgers and you can easily taste the char. The value is there too! A Cheese Burger, L.T.O. (grilled onions) also free Bottled Arrowhead Water, and Seasoned Fries all for a mere ten bucks!!! Fast service and easy parking. Best Burger I've had in months folks; especially at this incredible price point. Extraordinary. My new Burger stop for sure! I'll never go anywhere else. I move around a lot, and I can assure you; that you'll not find a better or tastier burger anywhere in San Diego. Forget those tasteless other thin see-through burgers. I wish I could have given 10 Stars.

A hidden gem in La Jolla! The first time I came here I was in the area and saw their $10 burger, fries and beer deal. I decided to try this place out cuz I had heard great things and hey, who doesn't like a good deal? I'm so glad I did!The second I entered, I was greeted so nicely by the owner and his niece! He helped me choose exactly what to order and, while the food was getting cooked, he kept me entertained with amazing stories! I'm pretty introverted, but he made me feel so at ease and comfortable that I ended up eating my to-go order in the restaurant. And I'm so glad I did!The greektown burger and salad that I ordered were so fresh and amazing! He told me it's his special innovation and explained to me how he always orders the freshest meat and ingredients and how he has a special recipe for every meal. He's really passionate about cooking and it's really evident! Try the greektown burger with hot peppers ... it's amazing!Since then, I come here very regularly (I can afford to haha!). I brought my family here for lunch and the owner treated my parents like we were long-lost friends! He treated us to this amazing appetizer, on the house! It was so big, we couldn't even finish the food we ordered! My parents have high standards but even they were blown away by how amazing the food was. He's recently introduced lamb chops to the menu as well. My sister and I came by for dinner and he gave us a box full ... on the house! When I tell you they're the best lamb chops I've ever had ... I'm not kidding! It took 3 people to finish the meal and we all 3 agree that we have a new favourite dish!In summary, you have to try this place out! You'll become a frequent visitor. Not only is the food and atmosphere amazing ... it feels great to frequent a small, family-owned business in La Jolla. I'm so glad I found this place :)

Read the other reviews so positive I came for the burger special. Wow! Huge burger comes with all the trimmings. So good. Everyone's right about the fries. You get a pile of them and hands down taste and beats anybody else's fries. My wife had the Tri Tip and said it was very good. Will return for sure.

No-frills, straightforward fast food joint with a very relaxed, humble atmosphere. There's always something sports-related playing on the flatscreens. Best prices in town for a burger + fries, and a beer. The burgers are also to die for-- the generous beef patties are smokey & charred crisp on the outer edges, and the lettuce is always fresh and bouncy. If you like lamb, get the lamb burger, which is made with a fresh tzatziki. The salads are also fantastic. The service is great-- the owner is amazing and his two nieces are very kind and attentive. I feel like family here! It can get a little crowded in this parking lot since there's a CVS and lots of other restaurants, but it's located in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it section of this square. Calling ahead for your order also speeds things up a bit, but if you're like me, you won't mind the wait if you have time to kill & a beer in hand.

$10 for a burger, fries, and LOCAL draft beer? Wowowow. It is advertised as a "lunch special" but it is available all day. The food was tasty, the service was friendly, and the prices are jaw-dropping. Such a gem!

How on earth do they have this good of a deal? 10usd for a 1/2pounder fries and beer in SD like are you kidding me? The burger is a REAL burger and fries are real fries.

I really am genuinely not interested to rate this place below average to hurt their ranking but instead to raise their awareness regarding three things: 1) Hygiene: The place is filthy and needs attention from the front door the restrooms. 2) quality: Burgers are dry, very dry! The ingredients taste and look cheap... 3) Staff: Seems understaffed which is concerning. Not sure but it seems like the owner does everything with one other person. Clothing soaked in oil or what not. I have officially lost faith in Yelp's reviews because of this experience. Wishing every business the best of luck. Why 2 Stars and not 1 star: The owner was nice. Thank You!
