I was in town with family for a long weekend, Chuy's Taco Shop was recommended and did not disappoint. The Chuy's burrito was packed with flavor and a generous portion. I had enough for a late night snack. The California Surf and Turf was enough to feed 3 people and was also delicious. We tried all of the salsas, and there were flavor and heat profiles that made everyone happy. I will definitely be back on my next visit to San Diego!

Not impressed! Price and quantity was good but they need to step up their flavor game which was none. Even left a shrimp tail on one of my tacos. Not sure what Guy liked about this place.

This place is pretty good. Definitely large portions. The service is fast and friendly. The quality of the food is, overall, above average. The red sauce was awesome. Cali Burrito was huge, although pretty average. Fish tacos tasted really good. $5.99 for an order of plain fries was way too much. Rice and beans were decent. We'll come back soon to try other stuff.

Finally !!!! a good authentic Mexican food taco shop. Even though I had to drive a few extra min and past a few taco shops closer to me, it was so worth it and will ? become my go to for Mexican food. Food, service and atmosphere were all on point. Carne asada was so fresh and juicy. Can’t wait to return!!!

Menudo wasn't very meaty, light with the tripe. Chili verde burrito was shredded pork not with any of the chunks traditionally in it. OK if you are in a hurry.

*Please read how I rate in my profile before you take offense of the rate I'm giving.I went here this evening because someone recommended the place to me during a conversation I was having and me sharing that I was craving a burrito after work.I noticed while in line to place my order that they had a giant poster of Guy Feriri (Spelling), so I thought this place must have flavorful dishes...I orded my 2 basic burritos that I always order when going to a new (to me) Taco Shop. A Carne Asada Burrito and *if offered a Diabla Burrito.The Carne Asada burrito was a little bland and a little dry even though I added cheese and sour cream. But was good and thicc. Would I order it again?... if nothing else in the menu was appetizing or made me curious, sure.Now, the Diabla Burrito is a straight no for me even though the shrimps were cooked beautifully. The burrito overall was bland, dry, and have a char flavor, that was closer to burnt. The rice barely had flavor, the salsa (the Diabla part of the burrito) needed some salt or even a little sugar. All you tasted was the chili's without seasoning. I have never had a diabla burrito this dry especially since the rice is sauced during the process of making the burrito. There was not even some kind of tartar, or white sauce, nothing. Just rice, shrimp, and the salsa. Was very disappointing.

The Cali Surf n Turf is the size of a newborn baby, absolutely huge. I can eat it for three meals lol. It’s also absolutely delicious. Love this place.

I love this place, but they mess my simple order up every time and after today I’m DONE. I order a breakfast burrito with beans, eggs and bacon ONLY, and then I say no cheese just to help. Every time I get home, there’s cheese and no beans. I’m done with this place.
