Who's places fantastic fun. Anime fusion theme murals, flat screens with anime playing. Fake cherry blossoms and blossom shag decorate the bar back area. Great, delicious sushi, tasty drinks and dope beats playing in the background.

I'm coming out of review retirement to update my review on this restaurant! I just got admitted to the hospital for food poisoning. Not to be too graphic, but a few short hours later I was up at one in the morning and losing every fluid possible- sorry, I know it's gross, but this place just made me so horrifically sick. Avoid the pork belly and the salmon sashimi. Avoid it if you're afraid of hospitals! Also the windows were wide open and it rained and it was freezing. Bad time all around! I'm writing this while waiting for my emergency room, so... yeah.

Such a cool place. Food is great, drinks are delicious. If you've never been, it's an experience. Pricey, but mostly worth it.

We came here to celebrate my son's birthday and we all loved our food, drinks, service and the atmosphere!Parking is challenging in this popular area so we used the valet.

We stopped in for drinks while in the area and really liked enjoyed the vibe and decor. We can’t speak to the food but the drinks were tasty. It was a little difficult to get the bartenders attention to order another drink so we just decided to ask for the check and move on. It wasn’t busy (weeknight) so that part was a little disappointing. We will come back again for dinner next time and hopefully can move this up to a five star review.

Went here with a group for my birthday and had the best time!! Music was so fun, atmosphere was lively and beautiful, and the food is incredible. They played music and brought out a shot for the birthday girl. Definitely recommend this place for a smaller or larger group. So much fun. Come here!!!

Food was very good. Enjoyed the ribs and the Shibuya Nights roll. We were seated near the front windows. View was okay but the piped music was quite loud. Back of the house would have been preferred.

Love coming here the food and drinks don’t disappoint. Whenever I go I ask for Carla who is an amazing server and she has great food recommendations and is very attentive. This place has great ambience and decor. I suggest making reservations as it gets full and wait can be long. I highly recommend 1st date or just a nite out.

I would avoid this place. Disneyland prices, gimmicky, sweet garlic edamame (who does that?), food was mediocre at best, and the service was horrendous. Just a bunch of young women who couldn’t care less. I honestly don’t understand the point of this place. To top it off, the music they play is the worst of the worst from the early 2000s. There are far better places to eat in the area.

Overall great experience. Form the music, to the good and the service. Not to mention it is located in a focal point of little Italy which allows you to explore and enjoy the amazing location.

We enjoyed our first experience at Cloak + Petal very much. Upon request, they sat us at one of their best seats in the center of the restaurant, and even brought out a special acknowledgment for our 15 year Valentines together. Our server was on it, and made sure that food came out at a good pace. We will be back.

Having never been here before, I had only heard that it was a place in San Diego that needs to be visited. This is usually wrong. In this instance, however, the recommendation was spot on. I live within walking distance of a great sushi place, and i'll never walk there again because C+P was that much better. If you want attentive servers, a killer motif, 90's hip hop/ R&B softly playing in the background, and sushi that will straighten your curls...there is no better place then Cloak and Petal. Give them all your money.
