Always my favorite place to get taquitos when I'm in San Diego. My family has been coming here for years and years and it's our go-to for Mexican food that never disappoints.

I wanted to find a place that looked like the best Mexican food I can ever imagine, and it was. While I killed time I enjoyed a carnitas burrito and couldn’t stop eating it. Amazing.

Don Lucio's II Taco Shop has been at this location since the 90s and my family has come here for delicious Mexican food ever since. I like that it's family run. While I was waiting on my food, the owner was proudly showing a patron pictures of his grandkids. I love this place for the good food, reasonable prices, and ownership. Glad it's here.

Amazing taco shop!!! My absolute favorite carne asada fries. We had carne asada fries and a carne asada torta. Bomb! We added the spicy creamy green salsa! Amazing! This establishment is family owned and operated. Don Lucio's NEVER disappoints! The customer service is amazing. Over all must try! I am a happy camper !

When looking for good Mexican food on the West Coast one doesn't need to seek a full service restaurant. Instead a taco shop like this one will do just fine. I was staying across the street at the Holiday Inn Express which made this a great grab and go meal. This is not your typical Taco Bell or Del Taco. The food cooked here is the same quality that you find at the sit down establishments. Today was a late lunch so I went with my usual, five rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese. For $9 I was stuffed. But I could have easily tried the tacos, burritos, enchiladas or torta. To drink they offer a soda fountain, bottled drinks or aqua frescas. I know that there are chain restaurants like these all over the area but this seemed family owned and operated. Nothing fancy just a few booths for dining in. Just two lights east of I-15 getting here is as easy as any other place. I know if staying at the same hotel again I will be a returning customer.

Really great people run the place, best bean and cheese burrito in the city

I wanted so much to like this place enough to keep coming back since it's so close to where I live. It seems like a family-run restaurant too which is great, but I can't see myself returning. I ordered the California burrito and the french fries tasted like french fries that had been fried, refrigerated, and then reheated in the microwave. Their consistency clashed with the rest of the ingredients in an off-putting way. The carne asada wasn't that great and none of it is worth returning for.
