The best taco shop in San Diego, when it comes to food and customer service!! I come here weekly.

My husband and I used to dine here while we were both active duty in the Navy stationed in San Diego. The structure has changed, but the food has not. Food remained delicious and authentic Mexican. I was ecstatic. El Pais is still located in the same area close to the US Naval base.

They have their own style of food. Looks appetizing and a good atmosphere. Very attentive to customers, good spot for a quick bite if on a road trip.

Amazing tacos in barrio Logan. To stay in business as a taco shop close to Mexico you have to be good. Only complaint is the service could be better, it's not horrible but you do have to remind the waitresses about stuff. Tacos are top notch

Everything about this little hole in the wall is fantastic! The food is phenomenal and doesn't take too long. Their Burritos are easily the best I've had in San Diego! The servers/wait staff are fantastic people. Sitting there feels like home! Only issue is parking can be annoying depending on time of day, but everything makes this my go-to spot to eat! Absolutely love it!Parking: Parking beside and behind restaurant, or on the street. A bit of a sketchy place, but worth the food.Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp for dine in along with outside seating with plenty of room for handicapable folk in wheelchairs!

My favorite spot for authentic Mexican food. I have been going for 4 years now and almost always get the Paisa Plate. The food is delicious and they always make you feel welcomed.

Stopped here for quick breakfast bite. Never tried mexicali style hotdog until now. Similar to the ones you find in LA. Came bacon wrapped and garnished with onion and silantro. It had a really delicious sauce and mustard spread on the bun. Came with peppers on the side as well as caramelized onion. Once the hotdog was gone, the sauce coated the caramel onion. So good

Tried a variety of tacos along with the California burrito. I personally wasn't a fan of the tacos because the meat was soooooo dry like it was over cooked and old. Which was odd because of the great reviews about the tacos so maybe it was an off day? I have no idea. My husband enjoyed his California burrito though.
