Everything was great! I ordered my foods in such a fashion that I had a seven course meal for a mere $105 before tax. I started with a cup of their delicious homemade clam chowder. It's the best I've had in a restaurant and it didn't have any sand grit that's common with clam chowder. Next I had an artichoke, followed by a Caesar salad. This was followed by the main entree of top prime sirloin steak and a whole Australian lobster tail on top of the shell. I ordered the sauteed mushrooms and shared with my friends. The steak came with garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The steak was larger than what I had ordered and was shy of being two inches thick! Absolutely delicious! So was the lobster. For dessert I had creme brulee. Plus I had a lime margarita. This was a lot of food for one person, but it was a special dinner out, so I expected a good amount of take away. I had steak and lobster for another three days, so I did quite well with the cost. The service was excellent along with the food being superb! One of my friends had ordered the small sized prime rib cut and ended up getting a huge cut that was so large it was almost too large for the plate, plus it was a very THICK cut of meat! This was fine dining with an affordable price. Their menu had a good selection for the family with kids budget as well, which really impressed me. Nothing snobby about this restaurant. I liked the fact that I could look at their menu and current prices so I could plan ahead on all the food I wanted to order and know what my cost was going to be. Most fine dining restaurants don't put their prices online. We were too tired after dinner since we had gone to the Shen Yun show at the civic theater earlier, so we ladies didn't go for a walk along the water, which is a very short walk from the restaurant.Due to their good selection of family budget food, I recommend making reservations after screaming kids are usually home getting ready for bed. I prefer eating without noisy children around. The prices are reasonable when you consider most places are charging at least 50-75% more. The clam chowder and the top prime sirloin steak were the best main highlights of my meal. Outstandingly good.I will return again to dine. I highly recommend the Fiddler's Green.

This was by far one of our favorite restaurants - best prime rib and best lobster! The staff was extremely attentive and made us feel welcome. We went for my husband's birthday and I wanted it to special and it was! I recommend this place!

The Prime rib and Lobster were absolutely delicious, not to mention the sour dough rolls. The service was great, as well. Well worth the money!

Went here for lunch about 2:30 on Wednesday and was told that the cook would be there shortly and that they are more of a dinner restaurant! Website shows lunch menu looks good, but we could probably only have some tri-tip. Update your website if you want any business at lunch or not!

First time there and showed up for a Crawfish Boil. The place was adorable with all the neat nautical decorations, and the food and the service were amazing. It was an amazing experience I look forward to another event to attend.

I've lived in San Diego @40years, and decided to try eating here and sample the menu, so I spent a little more than I would for a meal. I started off with a cup of clam chowder. It's homemade by the chef, and is the BEST clam chowder I've had in the city. I dipped the spoon to the very bottom and was pleasantly surprised there was no sand grit, plus the flavor was splendid! Next, I chose the artichoke as my appetizer, which was nicely steamed and served with garlic and butter sauces. I asked that the sauteed mushrooms be served with the meal instead of an appetizer, which was in a large dish that I shared it with my friends and still had plenty for myself and more to take home. I ordered the top prime sirloin and the Australian lobster tail for my dinner meal. Each entree came with options of vegetables, potatoes and salads. I believe that I was given a much larger steak than ordered & it was cooking perfectly. I definitely wasn't disappointed with the lobster! Outstanding! My friends were conservative on their orders, but the prime rib cut was HUGE and THICK and barely fit on the plate, so she got a bigger piece than she'd ordered. The only issue I had with the food was that it wasn't hot. It was edible at the temperature, but was borderline cold. Oh, yes, my reservations got lost as well, but that has nothing to do with the food. Despite my big food order, I was determined to have dessert, which was delicious creme brulee. My friends shared the mudpie dessert and upon inspection when leaving, there wasn't any of the mudpie left. My friends and I had just been at the Shen Yun showing at the civic theater and were dressed up for our dining experience at Fiddler's Green. It was our special day out together, so having a fine dining experience like this made it even nicer. I really like the menu here as well. They cater to the less expensive meals for a family budget and even the prices for the steak and lobster higher end were actually quite reasonable in our post COVID times where prices have become outrageous. Considering what all I ordered I got an excellent fine dining experience with an affordable price! Let's see what all I ordered for a price of $104? Here's the list. Clam chowder, artichoke, sauteed mushrooms, Caesar salad, mixed vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, top prime sirloin steak, Australian lobster tail, creme brulee AND a lime margarita! Add on the tax for @another ten dollars, I felt like I was a thief getting away with such a grand meal! Also, I really appreciated that the website was current to date and that the prices were listed on the website menu! I was able to plan out what I wanted to order and know how much I was prepared to spend! Just because a place is fine dining doesn't mean you should have to wait to get the bill to know if your credit card has reached the limit! Not all restaurants give their prices on their website and to me, that's a big mistake. This was my first time to eat at Fiddler's Green and yes, I will return to eat there again. The service was, also, excellent! Everyone was very nice. So, if you are traveling to San Diego and want an excellent upper scale meal and affordable, I highly recommend Fiddler's Green (used to be the Chart House). It's a spectacular seafood and steakhouse, but has family budget dining available as well, and the menu selection for this was nicely adequate. Also, it's near the ocean, so after dinner you can take a nice walk along Shelter Island. I give this place fifteen stars out of ten!

Nice atmosphere. Good food. I had the prime rib & added a lobster tail. Prime rib was excellent & the lobster tail was the biggest one I've seen in a while. Both cooked perfectly. My husband got the ribeye & was a little disappointed. It was pretty thin & unfortunately they over cooked it. Overall, would go back & would recommend

Flat calamari??? Didn't taste like anything? and still not good ? Luke warm potato leek soup?. Coconut shrimp were fine, just not so Coconutty. Onion rings - nope. New York strip peppered... over cooked and over salted. Great vegetables! Soft topped warm and cold Creme Brulee? and they put a lime in the Stella? second photo is what I left behind?

The prime rib is great but it's been hit or miss lately. I've had to send it back as it came a little too rare when asking for medium rare. The food overall is incredible and drinks are strong, waitress has always been quick to make sure you don't have to ask for another one. Spending around $100 a person each time I go, overall one of the better restaurants I've been to.

Promp greeting.Seated. With no wait time.waiter was friendly. Brought us our drink and took out order. Received it shortly after we ordered. My seared Aha Tuna was perfectly cooked. Can't say enough about the total experience!

We ate at Fiddler’s Green when wife wanted a steak and we couldn’t have been happier! Her NY Strip was perfect and my Ahi Tuna was delicious! Staff was awesome and waitress had really great suggestions when I was on the fence with 2 different entries. Great food, beers on tap and fantastic staff. It is a “can’t miss” in my book!

This place is laid back but serves food that will more than stimulate your taste buds. Try the specials that change each day. Engaging staff add to the experience. Dave, the manager is a legend. He with the team will ensure that everything is just right. I spent a week working my way through the menu and each dish was superb. The chowder is a wow. Steaks are excellent particularly when accompanied by a loaded baked potato. Everything else o the menu is really good. Oh, and the Fiddlers have a great beer selection. If you are near Shelter Island, this place is worth visiting.
