Breakfast sluts such as myself will love this eclectic, beachy-vibe spot below a large banyan tree. The visual appeal doesn't end at the décor as the food continues this motif with their breakfast dishes. Some obvious gastro-points: man-candy bacon and a Bloody Mary if that's your cup of tea. Also, the staff is super friendly and attentive despite the bustle. The only problem is that it is kinda small so it is hard to get a table; also, it can get pretty loud with the wrong/right group.
Love this place! Went with a girlfriend for a brunch date and got the best mimosas flights, my favorite was the coconut flavored mimosa perfect eggs Benedict and the Foster French toast is to die for. 10/10 will be back
Brunch here was delicious and our server, Miguel, was amazing! I had visited a few years back and ordered the 'surf and turf' michelada. I was disappointed they had taken it off the menu, but Miguel was able to have it made anyway! Loved that they were so accommodating. Will definitely come back - especially for that surf & turf that will *hopefully* makes its way back on the menu!
Great breakfast. Great seating in the back. Food was quick and good. We will be back. Great atmosphere.
This place is amazing. Loved the food, drinks, & outdoor atmosphere.
Great atmosphere. Definitely a good place to come with a few friends (and their dogs) for breakfast or brunch. The food is really well done, and there are a lot of options. I want to come back for lunch sometime and try one of the salads. Go early to avoid the crowds.
Came here for a late lunch around 3pm. The food was so yummy! The Sapphire salad was refreshing and the dressing was so good, I've now been looking for salads that are similar to this one. My guy friend got the BLT & it filled him up. He mentioned that was quite good too. If the rating was based purely on the food, it'd be 5 stars. However, we waited almost 45 minutes from sitting down to actually eating the food. Didn't think it'd be that long of a wait considering we went at an odd time & there weren't many others there anymore. Apart from that, I'd definitely recommend coming here!
Cute brunch place in Pacific Beach. This was my second visit, and I did think the quality of the food had slightly changed since pre-COVID times, hence the lower rating. I got the breakfast burrito which I remember really enjoying during my first visit however, not as much recently. The egg was the dominant flavor, which was not my preference. This made the burrito slightly bland and took the charm away from other ingredients. The quantity of the steak was also quite less. Overall, a better balance would have made it a much flavorful burrito. Ordered the coffee cake to go - this was a delight to eat - warm and delicious. Not sweet which everyone might not like but I enjoyed. Definitely get the french toast - those are really popular here. We went early on a weekday and hence were able to get a table instantly. However, the place was filling up fast. The wait can get ~1 hr on a weekend during peak times so definitely plan ahead. The service was average, we felt quite ignored in a corner. It ook us a while to get our servers attention to get our orders in, ask for sauces, get tables cleaned etc. Overall, if you like brunch food, don't mind the waiting and are looking for a nice seating area on a warm patio, I would recommend visiting.
Excellent service, Great vibes, outstanding food and fast service! Table for 8 wait time on a Saturday morning was only 5 minutes... I guess we got lucky from the reviews I read. The coffee here is good.
Good food, slow service. Wasn’t a huge deal to us, however our table was dirty and sticky when seated. Food was good, but nothing special. We did enjoy the rosemary added to the potatoes
Delicious, the mole chiliquiles were so good. Staff very friendly. Great service. Busy place to visit bout 30-40 min wait.
I'll start off with my Short-ribs Benedict. Absolutely nailed the cook on the egg. The meat was well cooked. I really like watching the egg yolk ooze onto the rest of the plate and taste amazing. Crabs Benedict just as good. I enjoyed the moist meat from the crab. I WOULD definitely rate this place 5 stars. However, what really brought it down was the presentation. The plate was dirty underneath. Ask yourself, how does that reflect on the cleanliness of the kitchen. It's details like that, that can either make a dish spectacular or tank it. Hopefully next time will be different.
Food: The food was delicious but nothing extraordinary, even with the breakfast sushi. Speaking of, which is a nice presentation of rice wrapped in brown sugar bacon and topped with egg, scallion, and plum sauce, the dish was a nice combination of sweet and salty, but overbearingly sweet, due to the plum sauce. I'd say it looked better than it tasted. It comes with a side of fruit, picked at ideal ripeness. The other dish we tried was the veggie scramble, comprising eggs, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and goat cheese. It was cooked well, in which the rich flavors of every ingredient was highlighted, without ruining the texture. Nothing special with the potatoes and bread. We also tried the chai tea latte, which was typical. Service: We went on a weekday morning to be seated right away; weekends have waits of an hour or more. Our server was friendly, giving recommendations, and attentive, checking frequently if we needed water refills or condiments. Atmosphere: Although we were sat right away, the place was popping. People at every seat chatting and enjoying their meals. Social distancing is observed and open air seating allows for a fresh breeze and natural lighting to shine. The greenery and wood accents are chill and comforting as well.
Local breakfast spot in PB. It has a cute ambiance and it always busy on weekends. It's not my favorite breakfast place, but it's good and they have fun kombucha flights.
