Such a fun thing for kids to flip their own pancakes. Only drawback was going with a toddler and being on constant alert to make sure they don't accidentally touch the griddle in the middle of the table if flipping your own pancakes. The Cube was amazing!Kid-friendliness: Toddlers who want to touch everything will need extra supervision

I usually do not leave reviews for food places, but this one shocked me that I had no choice but to do so. When we entered the establishment, we were greeted by an extremely pungent order of eggs, which is not the most ideal aroma to be around. Ignoring this, we then ordered various benedicts and two rancheros, as well as the chocolate pancake batter with Irish cream. While eating the food, nothing seemed immediately wrong (minus the odd smell from before). The pancakes were mediocre, and so was everything else, which was disappointing considering the insane price ($10 for a single bottle of batter and $2 more to have some syrup with it???). The real climax of the story happens after, when we left. In our party of 7, one by one, we started to exhibit symptoms of illness - starting from bloating and escalating all the way to crippling nausea. It is the day after the visit and 4/7 of us are suffering from food poisoning. I don’t think this can be considered a mere coincidence. Would absolutely not recommend this place, as it has ruined both eggs and brunch for me. -1/10.

Food was very good, a cool place and concept, however what ruined it was that the service terrible, not a place for small kids, as soon as we sat been our first time there our service never let us know the griddle was on, my daughter burned her fingers, on top of that we had to wait for 30 min for our empty plates to be removed of our table, our visit was the total of 2 hours and most of it was waiting for a server.

Wouldn't recommend. Brunch Drinks are not good. Place was dirty. Kids would enjoy it more with the make your own pancakes option. But wouldn't recommend with a group of adult friends.

Food is pretty good but not jaw dropping. The make your own pancakes concept is something I'd never heard of before so I indulged. Once the novelty wore off the pancakes were just so-so.

My daughter took us here when we were visiting, and OMG, is this place amazing! We ordered the banana and the red velvet batters, and they were SO good! I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it was amazing! We had a blast making the pancakes at the table with our granddaughter. So, if you're in the area, this is a MUST!Parking: Just a regular business with parking spaces around the building.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid-friendly place

I didn't really like it. It's like korean bbq but for pancakes. The batter was watery in my opinion, kinda expensive at $9.50 for JUST the batter. Extra $2 for toppings and special syrups. Overall it seemed overpriced when I'm not full on the pancakes. I think the benedicts looked good and it was about $16, but I'd rather go to fig tree cafe or breakfast republic. I will say that I got in really quickly using yelp's waitlist so thank you for that. Not a terrible experience, but just underwhelming.

I personally love Flap your Jacks. Their menu is great AND I get to watch my super artistically talented friend make me pancakes that look like Quasimodo? YES. Pencil me in. I used to live down the street from this little spot and would frequent it often. Only downside is the wait. Everyone knows it's yummy. darnnit!

Let me tell you something: If you are visiting San Diego, especially with kids, to my opinion, this place is a MUST! What a unique and excellent idea of making pancakes. The concept is outstanding. Imagine "Gyu-Kaku", just with pancakes in different colors, that adult and kids can create themselves , in different shapes, and eat them. It is an amazing experience for kids. We LOVED it! They are serving breakfast, which was very good too.I do believe that most of the people that are coming here, are coming because of the unique experience with the pancakes .The waiting can be a little long in the weekend, and the parking is a challenge.

I would do 4.5 if I could. I love the idea it's fun for all ages. The menu offered a good variety of breakfast foods from sweet to savory. There were good coffee options and juices. I feel like this is a great place to have a meal and also an experience. It was a cute experience. The food was tasty seemed worth what we paid. I do think the pancakes could come with one free addition or like maybe not have to pay for syrup felt off to me. The food came out quickly and the place was like half full of customers.
