This place was suggested by a friend so we decided to try it. We ordered: drunken noodles w shrimp, SPICY yellow curry w chicken, chicken Thom Ka soup, and cheese wontons. We were asked if the order was for here or to go, and we said 'for here'.Much to our surprise, the food was brought out in to-go containers with wrapped plastic ware. The drunken noodles were served in a box without shrimp. The curry and thom ka were served in a soup container placed inside a cardboard bowl. I almost told the server, "we said it was for here."Food: 1) The curry was very watery. It lacked coconut milk, so it did not have the texture of curry. It did not have a bit of spice. Thai food is known to be spicy, 2) Drunken noodles were bland and served wo shrimp. 3) Thom Ka didn't have enough coconut milk and seemed very watery, as well. 4) The cheese wontons were not at all tasty. The cheese had an orange shade to it and tasted like orange cheese wrapped in a wonton wrapper. 5) The chili paste has no spice what so ever and tasted much like the sweet and sour packets they offered. We decided to take the leftovers home and were given two huge paper bags for our leftovers. There were small paperbags there, but the server decided to give us the big bags. I purposely left my almost full order on the counter, but after spending the money, we brought it back to the 'starving (college) students' at home. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, but the food and the way the food is served ruined our expectations of a Thai restaurant in 4s ranch. We believe that the cost of having a restaurant in 4S ranch is expensive, and the owners of the restaurant are doing a much as they can to cut costs on their food. We won't be coming back.

Without a doubt, my favorite Thai Food in San Diego. Highlights are Drunken Noodles, all curries, and Thai Chow Mein. Was leaving the restaurant today with my pickup order and an employee shouted that I had forgotten something. Great staff. Great food. Great service.

Good customer service. Pad Thai was great. I didn't have it but my kids loved yellow curry - it's a huge portion. You can easily make two meals out of one order.Parking: It's in the Target shopping center, plenty of parking spots but it was busy when we were there.Kid-friendliness: There are only a couple of tables inside but there is a patio outside where you can eat and let the kids run around.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible parking and restaurant but the door is not automatic so you'd have to ask staff to open the door for you.

What a weird- not good experience. Went here after work w a friend and it was empty. The service was strange and disappointing. They came out to tell us we couldn't have the egg rolls we ordered bc they "looked funny" and they didn't want to sell them to us. She asked if I'd like something else, I was hungry by this point and asked for drunken noodles... nothing came for 20 mins so I went inside to check, and was asked- did you want me to place that order now? I was so confused I said- why didn't you place it before? And was told- I thought you might want to take it home. I canceled the "order" and left. Should have checked the Yelp reviews before heading there. Hope the management tries better considering these reviews and experiences.

Good food and the place had places to sit inside. Small sitting place inside with lots of outdoor seating.

During the past six months, the quality of the food has definitely gotten much worse. I agree with the other reviews that recently the food quality and consistency are poor. Three of our four dishes tasted "off" as if something had spoiled or just wasn't very fresh. This place used to be great and we would order regularly, however, the last three times have been truly disappointing. We understand that due to inflation that prices would increase or the portion sizes would get smaller. We definitely noticed the smaller portion sizes for the pad see ew, but the change in quality and taste has definitely made us want to go elsewhere. After the last order, we decided not to go back for a while.

Ordered a yellow chicken curry. The chicken tasted off and thought it was just me but the next few hours I got super sick. Went to urgent care because I couldn’t stop using the bathroom. Out in both directions. I was told by the Dr it was in fact food poisoning, so I’m not sure if it was the chicken curry. Fast forward a month later, my sister-in-law ordered a chicken pad Thai and the chicken tasted off according to her. I won’t be coming back here.

Fast Thai food. I got the broccoli, pad see ew and egg rolls. The broccoli was delicious, and served with rice and other veggies. I got medium spice (out of mild, medium and spicy) for the pad see ew and it was spicier this time than last. The egg rolls were a little bland, but the sauce it was served with made up for it. Lost one star since it seems to be a little inconsistent with spice level. But over all pretty good Thai food for 4s

i love gor gai! one of my favorite restaurants. the vegan drunken noodles with mock chicken was actually my first vegan meal ever and convinced me that i could go vegan. i usually get the drunken noodles and curry fried rice (both with mock chicken, vegan (no egg, no fish sauce) medium spice) and eat them together. an order of each usually lasts me for 4 meals. also they don't upcharge for mock chicken which is awesome
