I'm not as familiar with Chinese cuisine beyond the obvious, so I couldn't have found LanZhou without a recommendation from a friend. Thankfully I found it! Super fresh noodles in several shapes and sizes in so many sauces, or dry, or in a soup. I had the soup and was very pleased. I ordered a few other dishes from the pretty long menu for which I had no preconceived expectations at all, and they didn't impress like the noodles. My wife had the noodles in a saucy dish, which was also delicious. The atmosphere is brightly lit and colorful, and feels a little like fast food ambience, but the friendly, informative servers were fast and attentive, so that impression evaporated quickly. Nom nom!

I’m really not picky with food and I tried this place out because I saw it has some decent reviews plus it’s halal. Let me tell you I really regret coming here, the food was extremely poor quality ESPECIALLY the meat, oh man the beef was not good we got 3 different dishes and the beef was bad on all of them. The type of beef that’s been in the freezer for way too long or not well sealed and just gets that funky taste, braised beef soup was so disappointing, you’re expecting nice braised beef and instead it’s hard and chewy and not good in taste. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and if you’re coming because it’s halal just don’t, music was blasting and very inappropriate.

This was a decent restaurant. Got a to-go order of the Cumin Lamb Stir Fried Noodles, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and the Sour Cabbage Beef Pancake Rolls. This was more than enough food for 3 people. Everything was distinctly flavorful. I thought the Sour Cabbage Beef Pancake Rolls were the best (probably because I have an affinity to sour things), it was filling and hefty. The Cumin Lamb Stir Fried Noodles were decent and it actually had a bit of spiciness, but I wish it had more meat. The Braised Beef Noodle Soup was tasty, the noodles were chewy and the soup was thin but I also wish this dish had more meat and veggies. There was an option to add more meat to any of the dishes for $5.99 but since this was my first time here I figured I would see how the default dishes came out. Overall a carb heavy meal but the noodles were delicious in both dishes. This restaurant has hot pot as an option so that's something to try in the future.

A couple of comments. First and foremost it’s halal. Secondly, the delicious noodle soup should come with a generously amount of meat… It’s too thin and little. I would give the food 5 stars if they are not stingy with the meat.
