We went here to watch the Chargers lose. The manager was so nice, we had many beers and had a great time.

We decided to try out a new place. We normally go to next door'ish for happy hour. We each got a different Margarita. Both were very good. We tried to get food but everyone told us only our bartender could put in the order. We asked 2 other people. After sitting at the bar for over 10 minutes with empty drinks and no food, we finally cashed out 5 more minutes later and walked 2 blocks to great service at Moe's... Note, the bartender was just chatting with friends and didn't have time for anyone. We were at the bar and only two tables had people at them. If it was because they were busy, I would have understood. Terrible service.Bummer was hoping for a new place for our happy hour rotation.

Ate here so many times when I last visited California about 3 years ago. Forgot to review at the time but if and when I come back to Cali I will definitely eat here again. Highly recommend the blackened shrimp tacos.

High hopes for a place that has signs posted for the "best margs". They were very good, we were rdered a Skinny and a smoky mezcal one, which i found a little too sweet. It was all downhill from there. The bartender/waitress was mostly absent from there on, or just didnt hear us and looked tight past us when we asked for something...sitting with other customers at their tables chatting away. It was basically empty so it wasnt like she was swamped, she just never helped us again. We wanted to try a burger but she just never came back, even though our drinks were long empty. There was a guy stocking the bar so we tried to order with him but he said we had to wait for the waitress, who he could see was just sitting and socializing w other customers. Even trying to just close out and leave after getting no service, he had to go get her so she could get our bill. Then when we had a question on it, she just looked blankly past us as we tried to ask, directly to her. When she acknowledged us finally, it was in a rather condescending manner. Nearby locals, never to come back. Went two blocks up to our go-to burger at Moes, along with great happy hour cocktails.

We visited Guava Beach while staying in Mission Beach. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was good. It was a bit pricey but I think it was on par with most of the restaurants in the area. Overall, would recommend anyone to go if they are in the area!

Classic Southern California bar & grill. Good atmosphere, TV's to watch the current game. The food was good, Nachos, Elote, Onion rings and Waffle fries were all good. The best were the drinks. The Margs were excellent as was the Hazy IPA on tap.

Great food! Also amazing at accommodating food allergies. The service is always friendly whether you are a local or just visiting SD this is a must. And they live up to the “best margaritas on the beach”Dietary restrictions: We have kids allergic to all nuts and they are great about making them feel welcome and make options easy for them!

If you're a Vikings fan in San Diego, this is a MUST STOP. We went for the Saturday Bengals game and waited in line for a spot before open. We were able to get a table to seat 8 of us - I wouldn't recommend coming later than 30 minutes before game start to snag a seat inside or outside. The vibes here for gameday are unmatched for being an away team bar. Loved that they opened the place up for fresh air with garage doors. There are TVs everywhere at every angle - there's no bad view! Plus there's a great DJ that plays music before, and during commercial breaks. He also announced Viking's first downs, and played the fight song during touchdowns. If I could come here every Sunday for a game I would! There's an NFL brunch menu until 11, the bloodies were delicious and I had a yummy screwdriver with tequila. Started with some toast, but the breakfast items looked perfect for a gameday Sunday. The best part was that they had Grape Apes, the signature Minnesota purple shot - only downside is they need to add straws, but they tasted as good as home. For lunch 4 of us shared the Nachos with Chicken (minus Beans). Nothing too crazy special but hit the spot after a few drinks and beer pitchers. Between the Nachos, Beer Pitchers, Shots, Food and Fun from 9am-2pm, we spent about $161 for the two of us (included a shirt I bought). For the amount of fun, food and drink we had it was well worth it!

We love guava beach. The vibes are right, the food is great, and the energy is electric during Sunday football. On our way right now!
