I think this place is more notable for their atmosphere than their food. I ordered the Burrata and I was not impressed. It didn't taste that fresh and it had huge chunks of candied walnuts in it, which was odd. The oysters were very good, the pizza was just average. If you are a true foodie this place won't amaze you. That being said it's very pretty inside.

Amazing little find for lunch. Extraordinary ambience and good service. Some super tasty eats. Need to return for dinner.

We walked in on a Saturday night and were hoping to get a table for a reservation. We had a party of 8 so I honestly did not think they could seat us, but they cleared a spot on the patio for us right away! I was super excited and have heard great things about this place. It was the day after our wedding, and they ended up giving us some appetizers on the house, so that was super nice. The service was great overall, very friendly and accommodating. - Roasted cauliflower (4/5): mixed in like a curry spice, super flavorful and tasty - Calamari (4.5/5): tasted so fresh! The chili mayo was a unique and delicious pairing, which complemented it well. Lightly fried and not too greasy - Atlantic salmon (5/5): cooked perfectly! Almost crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Seasoned well, I loved it - Maine lobster roll (4.5/5): we were pleasantly surprised with the portion size! Bigger than usual, lobster was fresh and so tasty. Fries were yummy and crispy Overall, we love this place and need to come back soon!

It was my 2nd time here and the food was much better than the 1st. As always, the staff and ambiance was great.

My fiancé took me here for a date night and I was so impressed with the drinks, service, and ambiance! 10/10 experience and will definitely return. Try the poke tacos and this drink (I forgot the name)

A fun, unique space with an awesome vibe & cool decor! Popped in for a couple of pizzas (margherita & foraged mushroom) and the light, flaky crusts were wonderful! Service was fine. Definitely will go back when in the mood for laidback casual dining!

I can't recommend this place enough! My boyfriend recently took me on a surprise date here and I was so impressed! Right off the bat the aesthetic and design is gorgeous and the food is right up there with it! The attention to detail is spectacular. I must say, the Foraged Mushroom Pizza has to be on my list of the best things I've ever eaten. Everything about it is amazing, but most importantly the taste exceeds your expectations by 1000. I would recommend this place without a doubt to anyone looking for the perfect date night!

Great ambience. Technically extremely well prepared food. Delicious flavor. Great wine selection and service. Love the trees inside the restaurant and the lighting. Really nice atmosphere. Ordered the filet medium. Nice outer crust and tender medium cooked on the inside. The peppercorn sauce was savory but not overpowering. The dessert was pretty amazing. The sorbet was refreshing and the strawberry tart fresh not too sweet. Great restaurant for a special occasion.

Went for restaurant week and was ultimately disappointed. Ive been a huge fan of this restaurant since 7 years ago and feel the service and quality of food have declined. Our server rudely told us that either we all ordered off the restaurant week menu or not. No friendly introduction and our interaction with him was quite unpleasant. Good start to our meal! I was forced into ordering off the restaurant week menu and there was nothing to rave about. I got the ahi tacos, branzino and cookies. It was all very underwhelming and my fish came out luke warm. At least I was in good company with a good ambiance and in a beautiful restaurant. It was unfortunate to have such a bad experience. I don't think I will return here as this left a sour taste.

It's unfortunate that this place tries to pass itself as a fine dining facility. We went there based on the great reviews on Yelp, even though, and based on the pictures we hesitated. Steamed Mussels: Came with a white wine sauce, something out of a 1985 cookbook at best. The mussels' meat was dried out and tiny as opposed to plump. Additionally, the overall portion was equally pathetic and way less than I see in posted pictures. May be bad luck! Grilled Octopus: Came with caponata, mostly eggplant, and romesco sauce. The romesco was so dry that you can make playdough out of it. The Octopus itself was grilled but not properly braised and was tough Foraged Mushroom: Truffle-crème fraîche looked like a bad paint job or maybe a bad Bondo work (car body filler). The dough tasted bland like it was pre-made out of a box Branzino: This was the biggest disappointment, the pictures on Yelp showed that it was served as a whole fish but it turns out they changed preparation and now it's served as a fillet. The dish arrived with two skinny strips of bass that have been overcooked and smelled so fishy it was uncanny. When I pointed out the fishy taste to the waitress she shrugged and said, "well it's fish"! Herb Fries: We ordered herb fries as a side dish to have with our fish. The fries had a light sprinkle of parsley, I guess the restaurant's idea of herbed fries, that definitely was out of a brown bag of frozen fries. Think Denny's fries or some nasty diner fries, calling it herbed fries with sea salt is insulting Herringbone is simply an overpriced dining facility, an imposter on fine cuisine. Based on the boneless branzino, the restaurant should be called "Missingbone" instead.

We initially planned on ordering the restaurant week menu at Herringbone, but ended up ordering off the regular menu as we wanted to try a few things that were not available as part of restaurant week. We started by sitting at the bar and taking advantage of their $1 oysters happy hour special, went on a walk, and came back for our dinner reservation. Given that this restaurant is known for their seafood, we surprised ourselves by ordering two of their pizzas. The pizza options available were interesting and they tasted amazing. We also got the burrata salad which was wonderful and a side of the roasted cauliflower and fries. The wine selection could definitely be better, but their cocktails are great. The service was just okay, our server seemed to be annoyed when we asked to see the restaurant week menu, which kicked off our dinner on a bad note, but he warmed up as the evening went on (and when we ended up not ordering off the restaurant week menu). We also had a very large party sitting behind us so he could have also been stressed from having to take care of that table solo. Overall we had a good experience and would go back if we happen to be in the area.

This place is awesome! Decor, food, vibe, and service are top notch. We had the seafood tower, lobster roll, and some drinks. The seafood is super fresh! The flavors were amazing. Highly recommend

What a beautiful restaurant. Checked in with the hostess and sat us a few moments later. They actually sat us at a table in somewhat like a hallway and not the "main" dining area, kinda bummed because we wanted to people watch and it was our first time. However! We let our waiter know and they were able to accommodate us at another table which was so very nice of them because obviously there were other guest coming and going and seating was limited. Unfortunately I didn't get our waiter and waitress's name due to me getting a lil tipsy because drinks were bomb! I got the lychee martini? And one with berries. See pics for reference. We had the seafood tower which included ceviche, crab, and oysters. Tried 2 pizzas, one was the mushroom one, (favorite) and prosciutto. Ahi tacos are always good, we also got the broccolini and a vegan risotto. Everything was such a good vibe, great service. Definitely felt like everyone there made us feel welcomed and insure our visit there was a pleasant one.

One of the worse experiences in dining that ice had in awhile. We decided to come here for restaurant week but the policy is that the entire table has to go with the restaurant week menu or you can do it. My wife wanted the restaurant week menu but I didn't. So we first decided to go with the restaurant week but changed our mind after the order because it was limited. That angered the waiter. Service wise: the waiter chose not to come back to our table. I had to go to the bar for refills on soda. And mid meal he gave our table to a different waiter. We waited an extra amount of time for the food and watched others eat. Food wise: I had the lobster roll. It was cold and bread was dry. The fries were kind of cold as well. The chicken that my wife ordered was just ok. The brocollini was pretty good though Ambience wise: Its a nice place with wonderful decor. They have roof that retracts to show the night sky. Price wise: it was average priced for a la jolla restaurant Overall: I'm not coming back. It was poor judgement on our part to even dine here after the waiter became upset. I get it, we shouldn't have changed our order after placing it. I just don't get why the policy is the way it is.

came here for their happy hour. They do $1 oysters from 4-6pm. They used to do some food items during happy hour too, but now it's just oysters, which is kind of disappointing. The oysters were juicy and fresh though. We also ordered the Bone Marrow and bread and it was really good, but kind of small so hard to share. The service was really good and friendly. Our server kept checking up on us and asked if we needed anything. The decor inside was really cute too and felt cozy. Parking is pretty easy to find and there's a parking lot right next to it too. Overall a great spot for oysters during happy hour and would definitely come back for it!
