Hazard Center coffee with a remarkable selection, expert service and a great place to sit and watch the passersby going to the Barns and Nobles book store nearby. I have been going here for years. It is open seating inside and out. Highly recommended.

They have durian coffee! It is very fun to try but it is strong and you should try it. Haha. It is Vietnamese coffee. I like the curry fish balls. Also they have egg waffles Hong Kong style with different flavors and toppings. They also have different boba drinks and coffee. Also they have tofu pudding.

We have been here many times. Each time, my order is never right. It's the simplest orders too. We go back thinking it will be right this time. Unfortunately, no it's wrong every time. I most likely won't be going back. I just don't understand how you can get the simplest orders wrong. The foods not that good, either is their selection of coffee. Good for a one time thing but beware, your order might be wrong.

I have had nothing but a bad experience with this cafe. The service is also the worst ever! The cashiers are rude and take forever just to make a drink for you like they are in slow motion or on meds! I had used them in the past for 2 office meetings and they messed up both orders which was a huge inconvenience for us especially when your owner is in town to attend these meetings. I called both times and spoke to Ken the owner and he had attitude with me and never apologized or offered to replace what was missing from our orders! So unprofessional when you own a business! Then the few times I gave them another chance and ordered my lunch they messed up each time! They cant get any order right and they are very contradictive when you call to let them know what was missing from your order or that they messed up. Very wishy washy to me and I would never recommend trying this horrible place ever!

Love this place. The white mocha is one of the best I've had and the maple pecan scones are to die for. If I am anywhere near this place I will go out of my way to get my fix. Skip the sbux next door and give this place a try.

Excellent coffee and sweet bites/snacks. Tables outside are great for great for conversation where you can actually hear what the other person is saying. A preferred central location for business meetings.

Nice decor, pastry and espresso drink choices. Mocha was too hot, but tasted OK. It wasn't delicious enough to visit back, but I want to try some of their pastries next time. They know their beans.

Question: Two coffee shops, Starbucks and Intermezzo Espresso Cafe stand almost side by side. How can this be? Both provide excellent coffee. Both provide sandwiches. Both have similar priced menus. Both employ warm, knowledgeable, friendly people.

If I could give less than one star I definatly would. I always knew this place to be a little stuck up from my prior experiences but today was just uncalled for and out of line. I was eating my lunch that consisted of a salad i had bought from food for less. I realized that I was going to need more salad dressing and was closest to this shop. I had only .50 cents to my name at the moment and when I asked for a dressing she let me know that they were.75 cents. So I said can I have half of one for .50 cents and that's when she decided to start saying louder that these are only for our customers so I said can i just get a mayo packet for .50 cents and she kept saying these items are only for our customers over and over again untill I was completely embarrassed and wanted to get as far away from there as I could. This place is already way over priced and nothing tastes good and on top of that there help is rude and degrading.

I come here only because my husband likes the food. But the service sucks! First off, the manager has failed to update their Google profile with the correct Saturday closing time of 2pm, even though I’ve made them aware of this. Secondly, when it’s approaching closing time (you wouldn’t know it as mentioned above) they automatically give you your food to-go with no warning. I understand that they want to go home, but the least they could do is inform their customers that the food will come out in a to-go bag.

Soooooo much better than Starbucks. A good cafe with food and sandwiches and nice people, that do their job correctly and quickly. Others should take notes.

Always a great place to hang out on a late morning early afternoon.

Not many coffee shops can claim they reside two doors down from a Starbucks and survive. Usually Starbucks forces shopping centers to sign noncompete contracts so that mom and pop coffee shops are locked out. But here they are. Intermezzo is a standard coffee shop, it's kinda like an office deli in many ways but with an emphasis on coffee. They have a basic coffee menu, a case for pastries and even a food menu. I orderd a sugar free vanilla latte. It met my expectations and it also felt good not patronizing Starbucks. - Ever wonder who buys that coffee decor found at ROSS and Big Lots? Look no further.
