Great Happy hour and never had a bad meal. Awesome beer selection and even better staff. . . local spot I've been going to for years!

We visited San Diego the week of June 6th, 2022 on vacation, and went to the Iron Pig because it had good ratings. The service was terrible, my ENTIRE family received their food, except for my daughter and myself. The waiter clearly forgot to enter the order for my daughter and me (he didn't write it down, just repeated it back to us). We had to ask 3 times for the food, finally I walked up to the counter and asked for a manager and it still took 10 more minutes for our food to come out. The rest of our family was completely finished eating their dinner. There was no apology, the manager never came over to make it right. We will never go there again and you shouldn't either. We went to a restaurant the following night and it was pure perfection. Skip the Iron Pig and BBQ at home, you'll get your food faster

I cant even give this a rating. Sad to say. We were looking for the best place to eat for dinner while on vacation. Service was horrible. Had to ask for plates 3 times. You should never be too busy for business. (keep in mind, only 2 tables outside had customers and 3 inside) OH my! food came out cold! And cold meat is so gross. And re heated meat is even worse. Sad to say we will never come again, and we will never recommend.

Got the $49 sampler which was great, beet salad was ok. For sides Brussels sprouts , beans , mashed potatoes were all great. Highly recommend this spot but make sure to come HUNGRY lol. We didn't finish any of our food and there was 4 adults

This place is below average, and I'm posting this review in the hopes that management sees it because it has so much more potential. They have a good selection of beers. The bartenders are always really cool and provide pretty good service. My main gripe with this place (I'm a huge barbecue guy) is how lackluster the menu is in its current state. They opted to put a pulled chicken sandwich on there over something far more appetizing like say a hot link sandwich or a burger. The brisket is probably their main selling point but it's only average. If they really want to be a bbq spot they should start doing tri tip and drop the mushroom sandwich and pulled chicken sandwich. The sides need work. Their Mac n cheese uses goat cheese, there's not one bbq spot on the planet that does this. It isn't great. I want to give this place a better review but the menu is boring and uninspiring. Good place to grab a beer though. Food isn't great. Not a real bbq spot.

Delicious BBQ! Great beer selection! Parking can be challenging though. There's street parking and next door at Chipotle (park there at your own risk...(they have signs)

Atmosphere was good, waiter was awesome. Food was ok. The collard greens needs more of a southern touch and it will be a lot better.

Excellent smoked bbq dishes and friendly service. Fun setting with community style longer tables and great music mix. Chicken wings, Brussel sprouts, Platter to share and taco trio were our favorites. Our larger party was able to make a reservation online prior too. Parking was the only difficult part since they have a lot. There is street parking.

Just dined during Happy Hour (4 to 6 pm, not sure about weekends) on National BBQ Day, 5/16/2022. Everything was $2 off! Including beverages. I made reservations for 5:45 pm, but it was pretty empty when we arrived. We started with fresh squeezed lemonade (1 free refill) and root beer for $3-$2=$1 each! They offer Pepsi products. The lemonade was very tasty. The Meat Platter was $49-$2=$47 and included pulled chicken, pulled pork, 4 baby back ribs, 3 large slices of brisket, rib tips, 2 halves of Texas toast, and 3 sides. We chose cole slaw, potato salad and seasoned fries. The fries were good, the potato salad was ok and the cole slaw tasted weird. Like they used sour cream instead of mayonnaise? We didn't care for it. I thought the meat was good. Most of the items had a pronounced smoky flavor I didn't much care for. BBQ sauce was served on the side. The service was friendly, but spotty. There were a couple times we needed the server for a refill, and the way the restaurant is laid out, the server just couldn't see us. Street parking. We found a spot right across the street, but PB can get pretty busy. We probably won't be back.

The food was really good! Service was friendly and fun! The only thing that lacked from giving 5 stars was the food came out quite cold. It was not to busy in the restaurant so maybe they were distracted with to go orders. Overall It was a good experience.

We sat down at 7, had our order taken at 7:15 and by 8:15 still no sign of food. The place wasn't too crowded but there was a lot of takeout that seemed to be prioritized over the dine in customers. The manager and one of the kitchen staff left and wandered back in later. Don't know what was going on but there was about 25 food tickets up by that point. Customers next to us got one meal that arrived cold and wrong and by the time he was done his companion received his dinner. And it was wrong. I felt bad for the wait staff who were obviously stressed but nobody came to check on us or apprise us of the situation. The least they could have done was comp us our drinks. But they didn't. So we ate at Chipotle next door.

The hostess and bartender were great but after our first set of drinks and ordering food, the waitress never came over so we could order more drinks. Two people at the table next to us got 1/2 their order and had wrong sides. The other guy never got his food At 8 pm there were turning people away as cooks could not keep up. One waiter just walked out, probably could not take the pace and errors by the cooks. After 1.5 hours, we finally gave up as we never got our food. The best they could do is only give us 10% off our drinks. Don't bother going there for dinner.

Service was horrible and the kitchen could not keep up with orders. Ordered a Brisket sandwich after 1 hr was the last one served in our party of 8 everyone else almost done and the buns were burnt and not eatable and salty. Sad because we have when been there the past three times and good food. Won't return as we watch two other parties walk out and 3 others complain....low and slow is true "low quality and slow service "

We have loved this place over the last 4+ years. However, the last two times we've tried to go for lunch on a Saturday, they have opened 45 minutes to a hour later than stated on their website and front door. We get it once, but to keep happening is unfortunate.
