I am headed to San Diego in March and you bet you butt I'll be back to try these amazing croissants! Last May, I went on a mommy/son trip to San Diego. One gem I visited was Izola! The layers of goodness of the plain croissant was to die for. The chocolate croissant was warm when I got it and it was so fresh and crunchy!! I've had croissants in France so I consider myself a know it all when it comes to croissants and I know these are quality croissants! I also tried the sourdough loaf. I bought the frozen ones to take home and even after a few months they were perfect! I had the garlic and olive flavor and they went perfectly with wine, cheese and some deli meats.

Came here twice. The pastries were much better when we got them fresh baked. Got the almond and chocolate almond croissant. Both worth trying.

HEAVENLY! My visit last fall was limited to trying their butter croissant because I came around 10am, but let me tell you, it was an incredible, mouthwatering journey. The ambiance exudes openness and brightness, a perfect morning pick-me-up. While I wish they had a proper coffee station, it didn't really detract from my experience. Regardless, I'm eagerly sprinting back to this spot on my next trip to San Diego. The croissant alone is worth the visit, and I can't wait to delve into more flavors if I come early enough.

Quality and beautiful croissants on the pricier side. I really liked the space they had, a great place to hang out, read, journal, etc.

Currently closed for renovations but can't wait to go back when it reopens. There are a few restaurants you need to stop at in San Diego, and this place is one of them. If you love croissants as I do, this is a must to check out. Walking up the stairs and into the space is a whole different vibe. The space is very chic. I love the layout and how relaxed and chill the vibe is. I have been here two times and both times I order online through their site. I have gotten to try all the croissants that they offered. My favorite of the croissants would be the chocolate almond croissant. I like the fillings and the taste. You can tell they use good-quality ingredients. I also was able to order the garlic sourdough and there are tons of garlic in this bread. If you love garlic this bread will be up your alley. I would say order on their site because they do run out. Even though their croissants and their bread are great, my favorite thing would have to be the Vanilla Tahitian Knot. This thing is amazing. This pastry is like a croissant shaped into a knot and dipped in a vanilla glaze. There is so much vanilla flavor. The size isn't too big and it is just perfect when it is fresh and hot out of the oven, you get to taste where the glaze is still nice and warm and o so good. Delicious. Don't leave here without trying it. Overall, a great place for croissants and other treats.

I loved Izola! So proud of what this couple was able to build during Covid. I cannot wait to come back for more! Such a wonderful crispy flakey croissant. So good!

As a Southern & a Foodie I look forward to trying new foods. When I walk into IZOLA, I thought I was back in my Grandmothers kitchen. The smell of the deliciousness of what was coming out of the kitchen was AMAZING.

went about a month ago and the croissants were delicious. Theyre pretty big so i would say go with some friends to share with (especially if you want to try different ones). They have live music playing and lots of natural sunlight which was really nice. Wouldn't say its the best place to study but great place to catch up and chat.

Easily one of the most say memorable food experiences I’ve ever had. I absolutely LOVE croissants and the fact that Izola has the most unique selection of sourdough is a huge plus for me. It didn’t take long to see the amount of attention to detail it took to create such a unique experience not just with the food but the costumer service and overall atmosphere as well. The staff is extremely warm and welcome. You’ll often find the owner himself there greeting costumers and making sure things runs smoothly for everyone. Also had a man playing live music which created an ever more warm and welcoming vibe. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

So I been looking at places to have breakfast and stumbled upon Izola's. I was dropping my wife off for brunch with her friends and I was in the local area and thought I would try it. Doors opened right at 8am on a Saturday. Was instructed to go to the very top of the stairs and the entrance would be waiting for us. Get to the top and enter the door, and there were some baristas making coffee which they directed us to the main door to come in an order. I was the first one there and they took my order and the decor inside was really cool and hip something my wife would love because of the ambiance. I took some pictures and sent it to my wife. I tried the chocolate croissant and boy they did not disappoint. So crunchy out of the box, that it flakes every where, that's when I know it's good. I would recommend to anyone if they love chocolate croissants

Definitely worth trying! I enjoyed the flaky layers outside and the soft with a bite texture inside of the croissants . Perfect balanced and the flavor is on point.
