Gorgeous little dog friendly neighborhood coffee shop and apothecary! Menu is great, the staff are patient and kind, and the patrons are friendly and you can tell they have regulars and newcomers and treat everyone alike! Might have to make this our new go-to spot! We came here on a rainy day and it was cozy but eager to try the outdoor patio next time!Dietary restrictions: Milk alternatives!Parking: Pretty easy to find street parking on the Main Street and side streets around the building

This is a gorgeous little boutique and cafe in Mission Hills--I came at 7am on a Friday and there were already a good amount of people here. As other reviewers have mentioned, the food is pricey and the draw is the ambiance and neighborhood feel. I can see it being more crowded during peak hours, so not sure if it would be a great place to work or study. However, they do have a substantial amount of outlets along the wall so you don't need to fight for the best table with an outlet. I didn't try any of their drinks but ordered their ricotta toast. You can pick from a berry or honey jam option--it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I do wish that they would list the prices on their entire menu, it's available for most of their of their drinks. I don't understand why they don't disclose it so you're not surprised by an $11.50 ordinary toast. Still a lovely neighborhood cafe as there aren't too many in the area.

We stayed in this neighborhood in an Airbnb. We went to this cute local coffee shop which is perfect to sip coffee and enjoy some quick bites. This place also has lot of pretty crystals and jewelry for sale. There’s a stone idol in the middle of the shop which gives the shop a very good vibe.We ordered roasted hazelnut latte which was not that great however the fresh rose latte was delicious! We also took simply avocado toast and also toast with ricotta cheese, honey and jam on it. Both were great, the avocado toast was made using baguette and it was toasted to perfect crunch.Would love to visit this shop again! The place does get a little busy so we had to do a takeout.

A breath of fresh air in terms of vibe and aesthetic. Magical and eclectic. Not crusty like Living Room or Lestats. The ultra minimal white everything thing has run its course. Can't comment on the food. Service is friendly and engaging. Apparently women owned and operated which is awesome. Pricing fair.

They upcharge $1 for a splash of non dairy "milk" so if you're vegan or lactose intolerant you're taxed.. nice looking & mellow vibe but ultimately not that comfortable to sit inside. Nice outdoor patio. Counter girl seemed friendlyParking: Depends on the time of day for street parking. If you're lucky you can find parking space out frontWheelchair accessibility: Ground level entry

What a delightful little spot right in the center of Grand Avenue. We love the hip baristas and friendly owner. Visit kettle soon, it's wonderful!

Though I've been here a few times over the past 5 years, I'm new to the neighborhood, as of 2 months ago, and can finally say this is my neighborhood cafe! The ambiance is charming, quiet and urban simultaneously. The patio is just incredible. The coffee is acceptable; it doesn't live up to the pleasant space. So far I've had lattes, cappuccinos and the coffee, they were all passable, and not expertly crafted. The food is okay; I've had a few meh pastries and a sub par avocado toast. You come here for the cute European neighborhood cafe vibe much more than the coffee or food itself. And being that I'm 3 blocks away, I'm certain I'll be back frequently.

Got the mocha Mexicana, and it had a good flavor and was not overpowering. We also had the quiche, which was very nice. I do recommend this place, but be aware it can get busy.

Kettle & Stone is a really cute café in the Mission Hills neighborhood of San Diego. There's plenty of street parking since it's a less-busy neighborhood and a small number of little shops. Inside, there's a good amount of seating, but I wouldn't say it's the best for studying or working - more of a catch up with a friend type of café. I ordered an oat milk cortado just to try out their coffee and see how it matches up with others in the city. It was very light but bold, and oat milk is always the best substitute in my opinion! It was perfect and got me wanting to try their pretty extensive selection. Overall a great place and an excellent complement to the neighborhood!
