I've only been here twice, but both times I absolutely enjoyed what I got! The first time I got the matcha lemon float with vanilla ice cream & at first I'd never think of lemon and matcha being a good combo... But now it's one of my favorites! Absolutely tasty. The second time my boyfriend and I shared an iced matcha latte with their cheese foam and it. Was. So good! One of the best cheese foams with just the perfect amount of salty! It was so creamy and smooth! For something so simple I'd get it again

We had the Maiko Jelly Parfait and it was delicious. The soft serve has a strong matcha flavor. The jelly has a great texture and is not too sweet to balance out the sweetness. Mochis are very chewy. The only down side is the matcha cake which I personally didn’t think went well with the soft serve, I would add boba instead next time. But overall 5/5

Not your typical Matcha commonly found in San Diego cafes, this place offers genuine premium Matcha, you can taste and see the difference.on top of offering premium matcha, this place serves a variety of unique and traditional Japanese treats ranging from pumpkin spice Dango to Green tea soft serve in a warm melon pan.Additionally, they sell prepackaged green tea treats such as matcha sets and matcha chocolate bark! Great gift for matcha lovers. The place is small and the interior is plain would recommend taking your order to go.Tip: go on a Wednesday they have sale buy one get one 50% off 2-5pm

It's a good sense to put edible gold paper on a thick green tea ice cream. It feels luxurious. Green tea tastes stronger than other places. The other ice cream with red beans has taping, so it feels different. Personally, I liked this more because I ate it with mochi.

I don’t expect drinks to be overflowing, but for the price of one, I don’t want it to look like someone took a large gulp before I receive it.

We stumbled across this cool lil joint in Kearny Mesa called, Matcha Café Maiko. Tried the Matcha Sundae with Yuzu, a citrus flavor. It all sat on a pile of warm boba balls. Not bad. Gotta other items next time. One thing you’ll notice is the sell lotsa matcha flavored items.

The matcha ice cream and all the delicious stuff on the menu is worth getting hands down! Unfortunately I don't know if someone was having a bad day or not but working in customer service I think it's fair to say. Customer service here through all the times I've been here are a hit or miss. There's times when the staff is welcoming and attentive to their customers as it should be. Then there's times when it looks like the staff hates their job and doesn't wish to be attentive at all. Bottom line there's no middle ground when there shouldn't be a high or low just balance your attitude a bit. That's the only complaint I have with this establishment if I'm giving you business the least you can do is acknowledge your customers or eventually you'll lose business plain and simple ?

HUGE cup of soft serve parfait for ~$9. I didn't really like the pop rice puffs on top as it wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing to me or tasted especially good. The Agar jelly is nice.

I love their soft serve ice cream and their matcha and hojicha drinks. I have gone to their locations in Hawaii, SF and bay area and this SD location does not disappoint.

This is definitely worth your time, the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are very friendly. There are so many unique flavours on their menu including a black sesame, hojicha, and a matcha dalgona latte. Tried both the matcha and black sesame latte which had the perfect amount of sweetness and strength. A plus that you can customize the drink's sweetness and choice of milk. If you’re a matcha lover, this store does not disappoint; they only use high quality matcha powder and ingredients. Will come back again!

Great quality of Matcha! Typically skeptical, but was surprised that the quality was not overbearing and grainy. My partner and I got the matcha and ube soft serve separately, but recommend getting them swirled together to balance out the flavors.

The Mecca of Matcha! I stumbled on Matcha Cafe Maiko by accident and was so pleased with what I found. I had been to literally 3 places beforehand, and everyone pre mixed sweetener in their matchas, but they had both options available. They are the real deal! Everything matcha…soft serve, fun artisanal desserts. I wanted to try everything. I’ll definitely be back to do just that. Plus, the manager, John, and front of house were very kind and helpful when I left my debit card there.

Almost everything on the menu here features matcha! There's a wide range; from teas to soft serve ice cream and pastries. It's great, although the matcha latte that I ordered appeared to be missing most of the matcha, the soft serve was very good and had bold flavor.
