We come here for breakfast whenever we are in PB visiting family. My husband loves it because It never disappoints. Friendly and fast service. Terrific burrito breakfasts and egg sandwich with large portions. Great coffee. You can sit inside or outside. Prices are reasonable.

Lovely staff, very sweet and friendly. The food is epic. That French toast!!! The only thing I don't like is the use of American cheese on the breakfast sandwiches. But if you ask, they'll use cheddar.

Based on outstanding Yelp reviews, I decided to give Konitos a try for lunch. The small informal restaurant is close to bare bones when it comes to seating and service, but customers have been very happy with the food and value. This bright small spot is located in the Vons shopping center in PB where I'm sure the landlord has almost sucked the life out of most small businesses there. Of course what a business pays for rent has to be measured against foot traffic and the business it brings, assuming you have something good and different to offer. I ordered eggs with fruit and toast. Couldn't eat toast today as I was recovering from recent oral surgery. No toast then. Settled for a muffin instead. Muffins rang up at $4.50. I'm 95% sure they come from Costco, which is fine, however I was a little annoyed that I wasn't offered a discount because I was unable to accept their toast that I was paying for. I let that slide. Order at the counter and pay. Your food is brought to you. Now the good. My scrambled eggs were excellent and the coffee was A+! The generous large cup of fruit sections was a disappointment though. How uncaring is it when you carefully section unripe fruit and serve it to customers anyway? Add the fact that this casual restaurant is located right next to a good size Vons makes the oversight (?) worse. The kitchen staff (3-4 people) all certainly knew what they were serving. They just decided to not care and ignore it! And for that failing I'm allotting Konitos a mere 3 stars instead of 4. The canned pineapple mixed in was especially insulting because this restaurant has Hawaiian roots where pineapple cultivation has been a major focus for more than 100 years! Please fix this shortcoming, and I'll add a star soon. This is a good place that deserves to continue to flourish.

I really like Konitos for their food, service and the location.Every time i come to Konitos, the food tastes great. The quantity and the quality you get with great service is a home run. also, the location is next to vons so there’s great amount of parking.Keep up the good work and hope you stay in business for long time.

Group of 4 for to-go on a rainy Saturday morning in San Diego. We called in to Konito's Cafe since Kono's Cafe wasn't answering haha. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, egg burrito #1 and 2 big breakfast #1. The star rating is for food taste. The food were definitely big portions and a good deal for the amount of food you get. I wanted to like it - but the food was just so bland. They offer salsa, and the usj breakfast accompaniments like syrup/jam/butter. My fave part of the big breakfast plate was probably the eggs as they were nice and fluffy. We all shared and still had a good amount leftover. Nice for a nostalgic, no frills breakfast. But could use a bit more seasonings

Came here for a quick breakfast and ordered the pancake/ egg/ bacon plate. Very reasonably priced! Pancake is soft and fluffy, scrambled egg tastes right on point. I also bought some apple juice for $4. Surprisingly it was the bottle apple juice you can buy from Vons next door for $1. But it did not ruin my experience. Still liked the breakfast plate a lot. Next time I want to try the French toast.

Wow, Konitos is DELICIOUS!My husband has been eating at the other location for over 20 years, and when Pablo opened Konitos, we started coming here instead.The food and service are just as good, but a bit better!Before my Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis, I always ordered French toast, and it was delicious! Now I get the veggie taco on corn tortillas, which is so tasty!Our food always comes out quickly, and the vibe is excellent here.If you go to the other location and the line is too long, just come here because it might be a bit shorter on the weekdays, but there will be a little wait on the weekends. This location has a ton of parking, making it so much more convenient to come here, and although there is a line, it's quick!We just took our friends for the first time, and they got Breakfast Tacos and the hamburger and loved both. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here.Tell Pablo that Scott and Traci sent you!Vegetarian options: If you don't see something on the menu you like, ask what they can make for you. That's how I started getting my grilled veggie taco!Parking: There is a huge parkign lot here. We never hae trouble finding parking. There is also street parking if needed but we've never needed to park in the street.Kid-friendliness: We always see kids eating with parents here, family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking spaces and ramps with wheelchair accessible entrance.
