It is my first time to buy barbecue beef rice bowl for my mom, first impression was terrible with Customer service, rude. Second, the cook beef was no taste, omg! Will ever come back here.

Friendly staff. Ordered a mini BBQ plate but asked for the mac salad to be substituted with steamed vegetables. Instead they replaced my rice with streamed vegetables. So when I asked to correct it, they gave me an extra side of rice. Thank you!

I ordered bbq chicken delivered tonight and what I got was boiled chicken. No joke. This place has changed big time recently. Hard pass now.

Without posting any signs, they charged 3% surcharge by using credit cards. It was a not-so-pleasant surprise when we paid and got the receipt. I strongly suggest that the owner post a sign so customers can choose what method to pay. Most importantly, however, is the food was so bland. I suspected that the chef forgot the seasonings. Also, the shredded pork with cabbage was so stinky!

One of the staff was very friendly and greeted us as we walked in. He even asked, "hey would you like a bag for those?" We were carrying a couple of food boxes from a restaurant next door. We ordered for takeout and there was so much food. Of course, we had to order the spam musubi. So good! Too much rice though and a thin slice of spam.

L&L HOT TIP: only order the bulgogi fries and the chicken katsu plate for the best food/best value. The bulgogi fries are surprisingly SOO GOOD and they pack it with meat. They also pack the chicken katsu plate with meat and it's always perfectly crispy.I understand why the reviews are mid in general, because some of the other items on the menu are not as good. So take my advice and order those two things!This location is very clean and you can call in to order, which makes things a lot faster.
I don’t like this location. I worked for L&L for a year or so in east county. Being in the mood for Hawaiian food and not wanting to drive to where i used to work, has lead me to eat from here on various occasions. Every time worse and more disappointing than the last. The service is horrible. Usually one person taking orders and making food. While others run around goofing off. Portions vary you never get the same amount of food. Sometimes they give you a heaping serving enough for a small giant. And other times they give you the burnt ends of beef left over from lunch shift. Yesterday was no different of an experience. I ordered a seafood combo, food tasted off but figured they just didn’t make it right and put way to much white pepper. But after spending the night hugging the toilet seat, I knew it was far worse than white pepper mismanagement. Needless to say safe yourself the trouble, and a nauseating night next to your college hood best friend, and skip out on this place.

A go to place very friendly and the owner erwin is nice. But today Nov 2, 2023 5:45pm the new Fat Mexican cook and the short mexican girl with long nails calling out and making fun of people in Spanish waiting for their food (calling the Indian guy picking up for Doordash ###pendejo###) loved this place but i am not happy with that because none of those people are even rushing them. They were just patiently waiting.

I have order from this place a few times as well have eat in. The food is ok but nothing special. Last night I've ordered the traditional katsu x 2 and the katsu sauce was pure ketchup and disgusting. It really upsets my wife and I.Not just it's expensive we both love the sauce and it's the main reason we order that dish.There was no Worcestershire or oyster sauce on it.

I got the loco moco. Eggs were way over done, rock hard. Burger lacked flavor and was fried hard and not tender.Gravy was salty and likely from industrial can, but can live with it. Rice was small grain and very tasty, with the gravy balancing out.They charge for any use of credit card 3% and do not disclose until after. And despite little to no service (all self serv counter come and get it), they push auto 15/20/25% tip in the app while staring at you before they've made the food (again not knowing how it will come out).I was feeling the mahalo given recent events but this place is not where I'll revisit I'm afraid even tho it's right near my fav TJ's.Disappointing.

Best thing here is that they have Dole Whip®! The food is mediocre. Maybe it's an L&L thing as this is the second location I've tried and have been let down, again. The Dole Whip saved it from being a true waste. Aug 2023
