I'm literally still sitting in the restaurant but had to write a review. Caleb was the one serving my friend and I, and I don't know if I've ever felt so welcomed into any establishment. He came with such a good energy - all smiles and excitement. The food is fantastic (get the chicken pesto mozz sandwich!!!) and the lavender elderberry lemonade is amaaazing. Overall, 5/5. Caleb should get a raise, or at least acknowledgment because he was super rad.

I received no communication that my catering order that was confirmed the morning of would be 90 minutes late. I was left waiting on the curb for my order - after 20 minutes late, I decided to call to find out my order was never started, and told they could get it to me in 45 minutes (ended up being over an hour).

I have been here several times before, brought friends, and always left very satisfied. This time, my friend and I arrived at 1:55 on a Friday to an empty room. We double-checked the hours on Google Maps and on the sign out front, waited more than 5 minutes at the counter, and eventually had to ask the man in the kitchen (who was sweeping) to send someone out. Two servers came out and apologized for the wait. There was no soup available and only one choice of lemonade. We both ordered the curry cauliflower sandwich, which was a nice combo of flavors and textures. Our side salads were bland.Vegetarian options: Most items come with protein as an add-on option.

I was looking for a nice lunch while in town and Lemonade turned out to be PERFECT! My sandwich was FANTASTIC- and this is coming form someone who does not eat them (not event PB&J)! That curry cauliflower sandwich was soooooooooooooo GOOD! And the brussels were a great compliment. I even poured some of the brussels sprouts sauce onto my sandwich for a little dazzle dazzle. The cookie was ok. Definitely not on the same level as the sandwich and brussels sprouts. I wanted to try some lemonade but upon my arrival, the gentleman was kind enough to tell me that it wasn't fresh anymore and would not do it justice. I really appreciated his honesty about that. I came close to closing and the space was clean so I was very happy to see that. I imagine that they are busier during the lunch hour. I could not wait to tell others to try this spot on a trip to SD!

Ive eaten Lemonade since I moved to Los Angeles in 2012. Its one of my favorite franchise establishments. However, every experience I've had at the Hillcrest SD location has been bad-to-disturbing [and even downright gross]. When dining-in you'll experience a rotation of really unsanitary, unpleasant and careless front-of-house. And when purchasing delivery - orders will always be missing key items - no matter the emphasis' you put on the inclusion of said item. This past Sunday afternoon, we stopped by to grab a quick bite. After waiting for a few minutes in an empty line for an employee to help us, out wanders a younger shaggy fellow carrying a large stack of freezer & cooler containers. He seemed very bothered by our arrival. When I gave him my order for a to-go ahi plate - the kid goes directly to the plate and tongs WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS. Those containers were definitely sitting on the floor of a walk-in. And thats real sick. What a bummer that our local Lemonade has been staffed by such grommets.

Service is absolutely great; I ordered ahead & I accidentally ordered something twice & they worked with me to make sure I got my moneys worth Ambiance is bright & comforting

I ordered through the website for easy convenience for myself. The food was ready in a few minutes, so I appreciated the fast service. I got the lemongrass chimichurri chicken, roasted broccoli, white rice, and brussel sprouts. Overall a disappointing dish with a whopping price of $21, with very small portion sizes. Although the chicken was warm and not dry, the other side dishes seemed to have been sitting for awhile. I didn't have a good experience, despite having fast and convenient services to have my food ready by the time I wanted it to be. Portion sizes and food need to improve in order to be at the price I paid. You're better off going somewhere else for better food and quality.

Lunch at Lemonade!! I like that this Hillcrest location is central San Diego so whether it's on the way south or your are coming from south and go to north, it's still pretty easy to find and get to. It's next to Snooze AM Eatery the brunch place that gets pretty packed on the weekends. I was in the area and stopped by for lunch. Got the ahi tuna poke bowl as stated per their menu and added the blood orange hibiscus lemonade since I saw it was being freshly refilled. I may have overdone myself because this was a lot of food to be eating around 11am but I got the s'mores dessert brownie and it was thiccc!! Very densely sweet. The lemonade was pretty concentrated too so I truly felt like I got my money's worth with this $30 meal. Overall, it was nice to dine in for a change and should I find myself in the area again, I would come back here! Great dining experience!

This place in general is a go to for me, not specifically this location, but it's good everywhere i try it! always a nice healthy meal and their sides are soooo good. the lemonade is obviously really good as well. always clean restaurants and helpful staff. would recommend this to anyone!
