We went in with high hopes. We were pleasantly greeted and seated right away. it went downhill from there. I think if we had had a different server, we would have had a different experience. We were not given any of the specials (only realized that there were any from hearing the server at the table next to us reciting them). Wine list was one of the least varied price wise we saw on our trip. There might have been one bottle around $45 and the rest were $65+ (I know this is CA, but other restaurants had a wider price point choice). We ordered a bottle and when she brought the bottle, she opened it and poured 2 full glasses, without having one of us taste it first. After pouring, she told me to go ahead and taste but that it would be fine because it was a twist off and could not be corked. True it won't be corked, but it could still be off. We are wine people and have never had that happen before. And it was $68/bottle - not a "cheap" wine. We got the duck confit appetizer and they were just a few tiny crackers with a smidge of duck on them - so overpriced. I will say the sushi roll we got was very good and a generous portion. The swordfish kebabs we got were just ok, way overpriced and lacked flavor. When we were done, the server brought us the check. We both still had full glasses of wine. When we did not immediately pull out the credit card, she came back within a few minutes and asked us if we were going to take care of that (pointing to the check). We felt very rushed. Very disappointing considering all the other positive food experiences we had on our long weekend in San Diego.

Had an anniversary dinner here. Food was great (with one exception), service was spot-on, attentive cheerful, knowledgeable, not intrusive, atmosphere was noisy though tables were well spaced and not crowded.Disappointed in Patates Bravas. The delight of this dish is the crunchy potatoes, soft inside and spicy sauce. Here, the sauce was slathered over the potatoes and ruined the crunch.Generally the chef needs to pay more attention to texture and less to Sriracha. We turned the table so we could sit next to each other and hear the conversation.Overall it was very good, but I'd like it to be better!

Delicious food, incredibly loud atmosphere. Impossible to have a conversation with the person sitting across from you. Hard to believe management hasn’t addressed this.

Rock shrimp shouldn’t come covered in sauce. That’s how it gets mushy.

Wonderful atmosphere and service. Rating based on deceptive and misleading menu pricing for liquor.

A beautiful restaurant with excellent cuisine. Everything is absolutely delicious, appetizers like the crispy rock shrimp, which are fried and generously rolled in a tangy sauce, or the tuna pizza, which is crispy and fresh with a delectably light touch of truffle mustard. Then, main entrees like the truffle fried chicken and waffles SHOULD NOT be missed (yeah, I love anything truffle ?). The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy inside, served with a smooth truffle butter, hot sauce, and smoked maple syrup. Exquisite!Cocktails can’t be overlooked either. There are some true winners like the Perfect Storm or The Revival, the former which is a balance of sweet and fruity, and the latter which is fresh and floral.
