I wanted to like this place but it's clear nobody seems know what's going on. The female bartender was too busy chatting it up for about a good 15min before she even glanced my way. Very unpleasant. I ordered the most basic thing in the menu and the rolls came out cold. I mean they were raw like someone didn't deep fry them right. I asked them to please make another batch or even refry the ones I had (I'm not the type to complain) honestly if it's that hard to serve a beer and some bar food don't even waste your time. There's plenty of better spots but this is a no for me. Also there were 4 people in there I mean wow it wasn't even busy. The service and the food looked promising but mediocre at best. The employees looked like they didn't want to be there and I could hear the cook in the background angry about something...pass I got up and left and had a more please my experience at the bar adjacent and had a much better time.

It was my day off so I decided to celebrate, let loose and get their delicious LS Philly Cheese-Steak Sandwich (thin sliced house steak, onions, peppers, cheddar on a fresh Amorosa roll straight from Philly), an AleSmith 394 pale ale, their signature ‘Irish Goodbye’ (Proper 12 Irish Whiskey, Bailey's, Guinness) and then a full Guinness from their legit nitro Guinness tap. What a great meal, friendly conversation and all around fun time! I love that place. #LunchOfChampions

This place is the best. I go every time I’m in San Diego for the vibes. Big Mac is always making sure everyone is having a good time. Peace and love.

Really great burger, super sweet employees, and nice local neighborhood vibes. Highly recommend.

The food and drinks here are very good. We attended a trivia night. That was a lot of fun. It does get noisy and a bit rowdy. If bad language offends you, this might not be your venue. We really enjoy the burgers here and the shepherds pie. It's a nice neighborhood spot to grab a quick bite to eat.

Long story is one of the best pubs to go to in San Diego. Outstanding food, outstanding service, and the drinks are top notch.

I am absolutely appalled at my experience here. We were greeted with a disgusted bartender in a red cap - younger woman with brown hair. She looked at us without saying anything and just waited for us to order (it was still slow). We ordered our drinks and she demanded our IDs. No issue. We just moved from out of state two weeks ago. She immediately left with my ID to the bar next door. She came back a few minutes later and stated I had an obvious fake ID. Im 28, I’m IDd occasionally and don’t have any issues with it but I’ve never had this happen. They couldn’t explain why they actually thought it was fake. They attempted to retain my ID unless I presented my passport. My passport?! I told them I’d be calling the cops for theft if they didn’t return my ID. I’d much rather have the cops confirm the validity of my license than some angry college bartender and a dude with a black light. Immediately they returned my card and said I was being rude and loud (because I demanded my license back?!)The security guy came next door from the same place we came from earlier where we had a few beers and played shuffle board before our dinner reservation across the street. They didn’t have an issue before but now suddenly did because of this clearly inexperienced bartender.Disgusted with the treatment we received. I welcome the owner/manager to reach out to confirm this. I’ll happily return with my same ID and additional identification or to simply meet an officer to scan and confirm the validity. Do better, be better. If you don’t like what you do, find a new job - she clearly hated having to be there.Respond with a solution and I’ll oblige.

Love this place. Staff and owner are so friendly! It's a fun environment, they mix great cocktails and have some interesting higher end allotments that are nice to try. Yummy pub food until 10. It's a true modern pub- not stuffy. We will definitely be going back. (Music could be turned down just a notch, but still fun!)

Terrible service will be the death of this place. Woman bartender in a red cap (Janet possibly?) was absolutely nasty to us from the start. No greeting, just demanded our IDs and then refused service

Nothing… mediocre and unauthentic food and TERRIBLE service. Be ready to leave disrespected

The pub fare, both traditional and modern, is all stellar here (the corned beef egg rolls are famously tasty!) and if you want a perfect burger, this is the place to be. There are several to choose from and my personal favorite is the barbecue bacon burger. You can choose a salad or fries and both the burger and side portions are gigantic. The atmosphere is "super friendly neighborhood pub" with great service, comfortable bar seats and a few tables up front and in the back. Cocktails are thoughtful and delicious and they have espresso martinis on draft. Save me a seat at the bar!
