Bartenders are rude, service is slow, pool tables are way off and had to wait to play pool for over an hour, if you're a local resident I advise to go somewhere else. Weak drinks as well!!

Ambled into Lucy's Tavern in Ocean Beach yesterday evening for libations, billiards and seasonal good cheer. The joint was popping with a friendly warm vibe. (3) quality tables easily exceeded the (8) ball needs of my date and I. Bar service was quick, professional and welcoming. A couple of refreshingly cold brews flowed down the gullet with gusto. this was by far the worst service I've had in a while. The bartender I thing her name may have been Lynette but she has dark hair she was the rudest bartender I've ever had. I've bartended for years and know that's not how you treat a customer. I got there early so there was only a few of us sitting at the bar. she had an attitude with me from the very beginning. not once in the hour and a half I was there did she come by and table touch asking if I was good or needed anything, even with an empty beer bottle just sitting in front of me. I also was sittting there alone, maybe that's a good time to chat with ur customer and make tips? instead she spoke to everyone around me, I started to feel like it was a race thing being I was the only non white person in there. a friend joined me and she still would not come up and give service. at this point it was getting a bit more busy and I finally asked her "excuse me, can my friend pls order something" she replied with " I have eyes and I'll get to you in a minute" and proceeded to ask the couple next to me who was deep in a convo if they needed anything which they said no. so you dismissed my request to offer service to someone who didn't want it not to mention you didn't do that to me all night? also, before I finally asked for that she was just chit chatting and doing odd jobs behind the bar so she wasn't busy. that along with a couple other things is the reason why this girl should be fired ! bad look for the business. very racist vibes,and then I come on here and see someone left a review saying the same thing. Pretty much don't come here if you aren't white or u will not get good service

This place has a fun locals vibe. Lots of regulars, and it's right in the heart of OB. Stop by and have a cocktail!

The sommelier provided us with a wide breadth of local Southern California wines to enjoy on a glorious Saturday evening. As we watched a drunk stumble in then be escorted out by the security team, we socialized with neighbors and friends and nibbled on popcorn and bagged peanuts, and Cheetos to whet our palates for the tasting. We were poured hefty amounts to sample! The Woodbridge had a smoky afterbirth and rich, hedonistic tones. The house white had hints of oil and lanolin (like sheep's wool) and was perfect for a late summer night. 10/10 will return !

The people there are incredibly rude, I had glass thrown into my neck by a customer and everyone else was insufferable and impolite. This is basically a zoo with no blockages between their exhibits.

Once my all time fav. New door staff, is unnecessarily rude. I walked by looked in, door guy asked if I was coming in, I said "not sure" . ..his very snide response " we will do just fine without you"... many other bars to go pay less for drinks and not be spoken to like thAt.

Finally managed to stop in and look for Lucy. I didn't find Lucy, but we found a good time and super friendly barkeeps, and awesome music playing on the speakers.
