We come to eat here when working in this area.Let me say the Spaghetti and meatball dish is Amazing! Comes with garlic bread .We also got an Antipasto salad.....so yummy .Thanks again for such wonderful service and food.We will definitely be back again .

We had a delicious chicken Alfredo pizza. The staff were very pleasant. Nice to have tablecloths. Whole restaurant appeared clean. We would definitely return to try other options on the menu.

After a friend recommended this place for lunch at work, I stopped by with another co-worker. We each ordered a sandwich, Meatball Sub & Chicken Parmesan. We both walked away happy, these sandwiches were delicious, they offered us drinks and chips while we waited, it was top tier service.
The food is super authentic and delicious. The service is attentive and very friendly. Cozy little family restaurant. Don't judge by outside appearance.

Ordered take out last night after a long day of touristing.... We're exhausted and hungry, and wanted to pick something up easy. But, as usual, family couldn't agree on the menu, so we fell back to Italian, because no one vetoed it. Found Mama Cella's thru Yelp and called in order. On one of the menu pics, there was a chicken and pasta dish. The server took that request without question. We also got cheese bread, breaded mushrooms, lasagne, linguine in white clam sauce, and penne with meatballs.Arrived to pick up the order right on time. Server said, that we don't have anything on the menu called chicken and pasta. What? You took the order over the phone? Ok fine. They said that they could make it special but they had burned the first piece of chicken and were remaking it. Just give them 5 min.... Ok, now I'm starting to worry if we made a mistake ordering here. But in 5 min our order was ready and we headed back to the hotel for group meal. Well, my worries we're totally unfounded. The pasta was still warm and tasty. The cheese toast incredibly still a little crunchy, and the fried mushrooms were not greasy nor soggy. The main dishes were really better than most places when we were eating at the restaurant. The flavors were deep but not overpowering (some places take a love of garlic or sun dried tomatoes too far). Overall the place was a wonderful find locally and next time in Rancho Bernardo (or San Diego area) this is a great Italian place we'll return to. Next time, for table service.
