We had an absolutely amazing meal and experience at Mati’s!! Dora made us feel right at home. We got the chilaquiles verdes and birria fries and they were both UNREAL! If you are looking for a great spot to eat with not only amazing food, but an amazing experience, get over to Mati’s!!

The food was okay. It was pretty expensive. Each taco is 5 to 6 dollars and the birria was rather bland. We had tacos, tortas, and the plate. The torta was better but I think mainly because it had more than just the birria meat. The plate was pretty bland as well. The consomé was decent.

Some of the best birria I’ve had, right up there with taqueria xochi in DC. Service was great, asked the person serving us if I could have the tamarind margarita made spicy and they put together an amazing drink. Definitely worth a stop anytime you’re in town.

My god, were these tacos amazing. Had the one with birria and the chipotle sauce. I only was in pacific beach for two nights and usually love trying out new places - but I just had to go here *twice* because it was so good. And staff is v cute and helpful!

Omgggg new favorite Birria in PB maybe SD as a whole! This is perfect for some pre Flamingo Deck grub and they close at 11pm. The grilled cheese was one of the best things we've ever tasted! Fun dining area inside and out.
