Honestly a bit disappointed. This place appears to be welcoming and somewhat “spiritual” from the outside but once you enter the employees are the complete opposite. They barely greet you, they wait until their personal conversations are over to get your order, and overall they look annoyed to take orders. I ordered something that was $7.77 and they asked me what kind of milk I would like and I answered and out of nowhere the total went from $7.77 to almost $10. I guess because of the milk preference but the lady didn’t even bother on telling me that it was going to be extra. At least have that consideration. The principle of this cacao place or whatever is kinda bogus to me. I ended up spending $11 (including tip) for a smallllllll cup of herbal “tea” or whatever & for nasty service? Sorry but i do not recommend this place. Rather go next door to LESTATS. They have much better service. Thanks!

I love this coffee shop! Every time I am in San Diego to visit my sister I make it a point to stop in here. The staff is friendly and the coffee is delicious. The coffee also wakes me up and gets me going like no other coffee ever has. The atmosphere is peaceful and tranquil and there are a bunch of tarot and oracle cards and beautiful local art on the shelves and walls. And you can even buy the art if there is something you can’t live without. Great all around and I can’t wait to visit again soon!

The best and only real cacao place in San Diego. All the vegan food and desserts are so delicious! All of their Ecuadorean cacao drinks are so phenomenal. 11/10 will return every single time I’m in San Diego.

Our favorite place to be, good place to study or catch up with a friend. Plus the drinks are craveable with dairy free marshmallows for your hot chocolate. Bring tarot cards you can read alongside their Oracle cards! And you can buy the artwork on the walls ✨

First time visiting this place for a coffee while waiting for brunch, and personally I don't get the hype. The place itself is really cute, roomy, and aesthetic where I would love to do work here. But the coffee drinks here weren't anything special, overpriced, and smaller in size compared to even the most artisan latte places from LA. I got the detoxifying seasonal latte and was under the impression that expresso was already included in that $7.77 price tag. The cashier gave me that rec since it was the only latte that had sweetener (because they don't have any other sweeteners not even maple, etc.) and went with it. But the cashier didn't tell me expresso would be extra on top of those seasonal latte drinks, and with tip, came out a little over $12. Even in LA for seasonal drinks you would not be paying that much. The latte: Didn't even really taste the expresso or any of the flavor that latte was supposed to have. I ended up getting a coffee elsewhere shortly after where you can taste the expresso, was naturally sweetened, actually 16 oz, and was $6. It was cute but go elsewhere in the area if you want to grab a coffee.

Maya moon is truly a special place. I have so much love for its curators for centering wellness. Their Ayurvedic inspired menu is herbal forward and supports people move towards a mindful practices and moves away from espresso dependency (no espresso is served after 2 pm). They have some breakfast/lunch items as well as pastries/sweet treats. Vegan options here!Their healing continues beyond their menu in a few ways... this place is basically a healing/spiritual community center where the majority of people are involved in at least one type of healing modality, be it yoga, reiki, coaching, tarot reading, therapists, etc. they even host a ton of activities including yoga, vision board workshops, community building, dance events, etc. be sure to check out their calendar.

Thoughtful and attentive staff with an amazing menu that tastes and feels clean, natural, and rich. The tastes are also complimented by the lighting, music, and atmosphere created by the patrons and staff. Will definitely be coming back!

Came to town to visit my daughter and wanted some coffee from a locally owned business. Found Maya Moon 3 blocks away from her house and walked there. What a find. My wife has a gluten allergy and finding sweets for her is near yo impossible. We were greeted with a smile and I looked in the pastry case and everything was gluten free! I'll take one of each to go I said. Really they said. Yes to go please i'm taking them home to my wife. The staff was so wonderful. They brought out all the pastries to go for us. The coffee was wonderful. The espresso was great. Thanks to Maya Moon I will be back,Doug

Maya moon collective has unique and healthy options. I love how they have health ingredient options in their cacao drinks like adaptogens, maca, etc. I tried the mind + body cacao this day and I really like it with the marshmallows. The honey marshmallows are so good and taste natural. The cacao is more like liquidy melted chocolate rather than a typical American hot chocolate you'd think of. I know other countries do "hot chocolate" this way. The service is great. The staff is attentive, kind, and friendly. The ambiance is very clean, bright, and natural. There is outdoor seating as well. I'd like to try more of their menu since they have so many great options. The music is a bit loud for studying in my opinion, but this would be a nice place to catch up with friends.
