I have eaten at Mediterranean Cafe 20 times over the last 3-4 years. Up until recently it has been one of my favorite spots I enjoy taking friends or even dates to. This last year something has changed! A few nights ago after indulging in a dinner for two I experienced the worst FOOD POISONING I have ever experienced. (I was a prior US Marine and have had food poisoning on multiple occasions) but this was on another level. SO bad I had to go to the hospital, it has now been 4 days later and I am finally able to leave my bed. Never again with Mediterranean Cafe. DISGUSTING

Very nice place. Exceptional service. The delicious fresh food, my husband is Arab and it is one of his favorite restaurants. We go on Sundays, it's not crowded in the afternoons so it's noisy, the place is very quiet. Very friendly employees and very tasty desserts. ?

We have been coming here for the last 20 years and the food has been consistently good. It's amazing how they can grill the chicken kabobs perfectly charred on the rim but MOIST on the inside. The eggplant dip is a must have here. Prices are fair and has risen very slightly. The bathroom is always clean.

I have to update my review, only because I don't know where this lower rating is coming from. My old review below is from 6 years ago and we still go on the regular. We usually get it to go but you should really try dine it to get everything freshly cooked, just to experience it. Their greek salad dressing is the best, we hord that stuff. Tzatziki is on point. We order extra grilled skewers of veggies (that might not still be on the menu, but order anyway). The charred onions and tomatoes are so good with the meats, sauce, and rice. I mean, for the price absolutely 5 stars...Mediterranean Cafe is on our regular list for good reason. Three words, "Dinner for two," which is their extensive dinner with samplings of everything Greek. Very inexpensive and very good. Satisfies your Greek food cravings until you're ready to go back for more.

The food was DELICIOUS. It’s hard to find good Mediterranean food and this restaurant has 29 years of experience making it well. I got the beef kebab and the meat was very well prepared (and marinated amazingly). Huge portions as well, will be back.

Coming here for the last five years I will have to say it's always been good food that has reached my expectations. I've always tend to indulge in an excessive amount because of how good it is. The owner is a nice man that has been there for over ten years! I definitely recommend him if you are looking for some good solid Arabic food.

Definitely, I will recommended to my co-workers and friends, the place is clean, the staff is very friendly and they make you feel you are welcome. The food was delicious, shish kebab, tabouleh and hummus were excellent with the right flavor.Definitely, I will be a regular customer at Alladin Restaurant. From 1 to 5 stars I will put 5

Food was delicious, fresh, flavorful and generous. We ordered the chicken kabob plate, the salmon plate, lentil soup and lemon chicken soup. Oh and how could I forgot the desert - chocolate mousse cake which was divine. I was fortunate to meet the owner - a kind and passionate man, it was refreshing to have a conversation rich in culture and business. We live in Carlsbad but we will definitely be back to dine or pick up food when in the area. Also, my husband Chris fell in love the lemon chicken soup- it is a must add on to any entree. Overall the food was healthy and fresh, definitely felt made with love so compliments to the woman chef that I briefly saw. We will be back soon! Our best, Angeline, Chris and our sweet little Rumi joon

Excellent place with great costumer service. I had the pleasure of meeting Freddy and was such a nice person. I had the Gyro and was one of the best ones I ever had. Will return for sure.

Food was great! We came in from Vegas to visit our son and caught them at closing. They stayed open late and quickly got our food. Owner was really friendly...nice to see an owner that understands customer service. Def would recommend!

This is the most under rated restaurant in San Diego. The service is friendly, food delicious and healthy, and quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Today the temperature outside was 90, and inside was cool and comfortable. Go give it a try.
