I had a calamari sandwich and a cannoli, and was pleasantly surprised with the food, quality and quantity. I did takeout so I did not get to experience that atmosphere and service on the restaurant.

Truly the worst Italian dining experience I’ve ever had. The “cheesy garlic bread” was just pieces of cheese on a hot dog bun with no garlic in sight. Chicken was fatty and flavorless. And the service wasn’t any better. This place realistically shouldn’t exist… there’s just no way you can’t make food of a higher quality for a quarter of the price on your own at home.

Excellent food. Generous proportions. The ravioli was especially good. Had half and half. Lasagna was other selection. Side salad was very large with a nice variety besides lettuce. Friends each had pizza and they were very pleased with them. One had half of her pizza with clam and garlic and wouldn't choose that again. The other half was especially good.

We ordered dinner on 1/27 delivered from Grub Hub. We didn’t get our cannoli and the chicken with pesto and mushrooms had no mushrooms. Also, the sauce separated and was greasy. My eggplant parm was ok. And the salad was good. The delivery was sloppy and one of the bags leaked. I called Mona’s and the woman I spoke to said she was sorry but couldn’t do anything about it because we had ordered from a third party. I don’t think this is true. I hope they are more understanding tomorrow when I go there and speak to them directly.

The Italian food here was the best I've had in San Diego in a very, very long time! Given its location, minimal footprint and signage, it is easily missed. Definitely give it a try - the fettuccine, pizza, mozzarella sticks, and salad were perfect! The restaurant was clean, recently upgraded, and had a nice, cozy atmosphere. Finally, our server, Scarlett, was very pleasant and provided excellent service. We will definitely be return customers! Great job!

Your restaurant gets 10 stars for great service & great food! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I had a late dinner here w/ my teens last week & the waitress there was so sweet & so attentive. Scarlett was her name! The food was great too! I had minestrone soup & cheese raviolis. My sons had the spaghetti & fettuccini Alfredo. Then we had cheesecake & a cannoli for dessert. It was all sssssoooo delicious! I ate way more than usual! And the whole time our waitress was so pleasant & so sweet. We will be back soon, Thank you!

2:30 on a Thursday, the place was empty. I grabbed a menu to order the same sandwich I've bought here for twenty years. The waitress (owner's daughter) ran over to substitute the new paper price list....now charging $17 for the sandwich. Another price increase! which she denied saying they haven't raised prices in two years! A bold lie. The sandwich was $15 on the menu and $13 online. I told her I wasn't going to eat there after all. She said...."That's because you're cheap, you stupid B tch!"I was horrified. The cook (owner) came out of the kitchen because she told me to get out of her restaurant yelling "Stupid B tch" at me over and over. This is the respect and appreciation for a 20 year repeat customer from an entitled, rude, spoilt brat. I asked the cook to make her stop cursing at me but he acted stupid and did nothing. I told her she was the stupid B to treat a customer like that. Common courtesy doesn't exist in our degenerate culture if service providers act like animals towards their customers. Subsequent to my post, the owner has claimed I entered in a rage cursing at his innocent, potty mouth daughter. Yes, on camera. Nice they lie as well as fail to apologize. This young lady? verbally attacked and insulted me when I decided to leave without ordering.

What happend? The food is horrible here now. Everything, the soup, the lasagna, even the "still frozen" tiramisu. Worst Italian food I've had in the past 20 years. A few years ago this place was decent. Keep cutting corners and keep trying to save money!!

Definitely will order catering again! I had food delivered for my son's bday party and everyone was raving about it. The owner chatted with me about the number of guests, what I was hoping to order, and made a package that included garlic bread and delivery. I had said I wanted cheese pizza for the kids but opted to put that money towards their big salad instead, and lo and behold, when the delivery arrived, he had included a pizza, too! I was so thrilled to see that bonus and it was nice of the restaurant to do that for me. We are still eating the delicious lasagna many days later. And the chicken Marsala was the juiciest, most tender, and flavorful chicken we may have ever had! I will order catering from them again and and again if it's this great quality and customer service!!

My in laws were raving about this place, so when there was not a choice made of where to go we decided to give them a try for take out (their experience was dine in). There were four dishes ordered in total: Fettuccine Alfredo, Veal Marsala, Chicken Ester, Eggplant Parmigiana. For each plate, it was at least $20. Unfortunately, the quality was just not there consistently & each dish had one issue or another. Starting with the eggplant, this item arrived ice cold. We aren't far from this location so I could understand losing SOME heat but not all. Chicken Ester did not have nearly enough chicken for the amount charged. First bite tasted like straight wine as if it was not cooked down (the person eating this had to swap dinner with someone else because they're sober, & this was not expected). Veal Marsala had a very rich taste & the mushrooms were delicious. Fettuccine Alfredo was flavorful & there was a generous amount. Unfortunately, I had a severe upset stomach 10-15 minutes after finishing maybe a quarter of my dish that lasted through the next day. I was the only one to have severe stomach issues so my assumption was it was the fettuccine Alfredo. Ending on a positive note, the Italian soup (minestrone) was packed with flavor & the one dish we all enjoyed. Location is a little difficult to locate, but in a busy parking lot.

This was hands down the worst meal I've had in quite a while. The side salad was the best part and it was quite unremarkable.I ordered the veal parmesan, Which came with a side salad, A small side of spaghetti, Some steamed vegetables, And a side of garlic bread. I can't speak about the garlic bread. Because I don't eat bread like that. The spaghetti was dry and had barely any sauce on it. The steamed vegetables had a weird After taste. Which I didn't like but other than that they were just steamed vegetables. The veal was lightly undercooked, but I don't have a problem with that as much as I do with the veal itself. The veal itself was disgusting. It was very thinly sliced meat that is then either compressed back together or "glued" back together. It was very evident when looking closely that the veal was made up of very thin slices of meat. The antipasto salad looked good, it was as you would expect covered in deli meats and cheeses, as well as some pickled veggies like cauliflower and carrots. (Which I normally love) the pickled veggies tasted like someone added fish juices to the pickling jar. I'm not a fan of fish so this was very off-putting to me. But the deli meat and cheeses were rotten. Not sure if it was the meat or the cheese or both but at least one of them was rotten.I ordered carryout and I should have honestly left as soon as I walked in because the place smelled like dirty socks to me.Needless to say, I will not be returning and I'm not looking for a free meal there either.
