My wife and I love naked cafe! The coffees are huge and delicious. The food is incredible and the menu has all the nutritional information which is great to see at a restaurant. 5/5 stars!

****LESS THAN ZERO STARS**** My daughter and I had THE WORST experience here today! First, while she was taking our order, our (very dry) Server, Mayra interrupted me and asked if she could take payment from the table behind us first. Of course, I said "Sure." She then got several parts of our order wrong and had to keep coming back with additional items. The table was small and there clearly was not enough room for all of the plates, cups and coffee pot that kept coming. I had to suggest that she take things away to make room. Directly above us were stained ceiling tiles. The WORST part of the experience, however, was that we BOTH found HAIR in our food. When we brought it to Mayra's attention, she went to the back "to talk to her manager". She then came back and asked if she could take our plates WITH FOOD AND HAIR STILL ON THEM for inspection by this person. A few minutes later, she came back out saying "Here's your new check." and walked away. It reflected a 25% discount. OMG! Whoever made such a ridiculous decision didn't even come out to talk to us - apologize or ask any questions. We ordered A LOT of items. When we first started eating, I saw what looked like hair in my rosemary potatoes, but thought it was just my eyes. Then, my daughter pulled hair out of her pancake. Finally, there was hair on my plate as I finished the last bit of my coconut French toast. Obviously, this confirmed what I initially saw in my potatoes. Mayra never returned to our table to take my payment (like she did for the customer that she interrupted me for), but walked past us about 20 times as we sat for at least 30 more minutes. Ultimately, I had to get up and walk to the bar where someone was ordering a smoothie and make payment there. Absolutely outrageous customer service, and filth. I will report my experience to the city. I am angry, disappointed and disgusted. I also feel that I should have paid NOTHING for this nauseating experience. We both felt like throwing up! I regret that I didn't take photos of our plates with hair in our food before Mayra took them away.

We had the Steak Hash Naked Latte Sesame Ginger Tofu We always go here and order pesto omelette with a side of blackberry banana pancakes. These dishes are good. However the steak in the hash had no seasoning and the meat was tough. My wife only ate the tofu in her plate because the veggies were overcooked and the brown rice at the bottom didn't have the usual sauce. Everything was just soggy and watery. The latte gets 5 stars. Stick to the pancakes and omelettes.

On my once yearly visit to San Diego, I stopped in at Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore next door, then decided to grab a bite to eat while perusing my purchases. I ordered a chai latte from the drinks menu and a single piece of coconut French toast from the "sides" selections. Both were delicious and exquisitely prepared. I had a nice seat at a window where I could watch the comings and goings of the Rosecrans Center, with lots of shops and a number of other restaurants in addition to Naked Cafe. Nice!

Came on a weekday midmorning. The parking lot had several spaces available, but by the time I left, people were fighting to find a spot to park.Service - I totally understand all of the negative reviews regarding service. The front of house staff was very “meh.” I walked in and it wasn’t clear whether you seat yourself and wait for a server, or go up to the counter, order and then sit. The lady behind the counter stood there watching me and sipping her drink. She didn’t greet me or anything. She let me walk up to the counter and ask how things work instead of saying hi and telling me to sit anywhere. Weird vibes.Food - I ordered hot tea and the pink lotus (lemonade and raspberry) mimosa. Both were good. I also got the Good Karma entree, but swapped out the egg whites for fried eggs and added steak medallions. The steak was chopped up in cubes, not medallions. There was ZERO flavor on this plate. And I mean zero. When they said they were the naked cafe, they absolutely meant it. I thought that meant clean ingredients/organic… not flavorless and bland. I was disappointed. You can still serve clean, healthy food that’s flavorful. Thankfully, they had salt/pepper and hot sauces at the table. The tapatio was almost a year past the expiration date on the bottle, lol.Atmosphere - Very casual cafe. The bathroom was rundown and gross. Very unkept and could use a serious makeover. Kinda grossed out thinking this is the bathroom staff uses while they’re cooking and serving customers.

Wonderful little place! We were visiting from Colorado Springs for Christmas and we had coffee and lunch here. The staff was very friendly and the food and drinks were very good. We would highly recommend this place.

Okay so the staff was amazing so I’ll give them that- but what the heck was up with the gf pancakes?! We were so disappointed, this must have been a fluke. I was so excited that they had GF options - but alas, they do NOT have any bread substitutes so I was unable to order what I actually wanted. Anywho- they food is generally fresh and healthy (and usually tasty)- but something was wayyy off with the buckwheat GF batter, it literally must have gone bad because the pancakes tasted SO bitter, even the heaps of fruit and goodies mixed in couldn’t mask it. Luckily the waiter was super cool about replacing the two plates and the regular gluten-full batter was on point. Idk perhaps keep the ingredients refrigerated? Also, the coffee creators may want to taste their concoctions, as two out of our 3 beverages was strange to say the least. Whatever the blue thing was, it was gorgeous, but definitely not very yummy. ??‍♀️Dietary restrictions: Please carry some gf bread so that folks can get some of the amazing dishes that feature toast!

Owner should look into why they don't answer their phone and close early. I just drove 15 miles, called them 15x WHILE they're open trying to put an order in, I get there and they say "oh sorry we're closed at 2pm today." Change your hours phone so ppl don't waste their gas time and energy.

We went here last minute before our flight. It looks cute and something quick to eat. We ordered a fruit bowl and there was mold all over the grapes, the french toast was very plain, the steak was cold as if they heated it up and actually didn't cook it and did not serve us water. It looks super good but the food was not good at all. Disappointing

Owner should look into why they don't answer their phone and close early. I just drove 15 miles, called them 10x PRE 2PM WHILE they're open trying to put an order in, I get there and they say "oh sorry we're closed at 2pm today." Change your hours and or AT LEAST answer your phone so ppl don't waste their gas time and energy. I've been eating here for almost a decade, no idea what happened to the nice people that used to run this place but they new chick has attitude. Be grateful people spend their money at your restaurant. If you don't want to work and are lazy just go on welfare and get out of everyone's way. Hire someone that wants to work.

Great quality food and great service. The hot chocolate was perfect. Not bitter like some places but not too sweet either. Steak, avocado, sour cream, flour tortilla, jalapenos, salsa, potatoes, and cheese.

Online it says that they close at 2:30. I came in at 1:30 and they told me that they were already closing down and that we couldn’t sit inside nor outside even though they close until 2 pm. I ordered the coffee which was mediocre. Couldn’t even drink it. I ordered the wok with chicken which they said like full blown oil and and I ordered the ginger tacos which came with 6 small squares of chicken total and the presentation was awful. Really sad because I was genuinely excited to try this place, but the service and the food speak for itself
