Honestly want to love this spot and I do hope they continue in this location - the coffee is good. Every food item I have ordered on any given day has been mediocre at best and typically just not worth eating. From old salad to stale cinnamon rolls - everything seems kept past its good date. I’m really hoping something changes with whoever is prepping/cooking and deciding how long to keep things that should have been tossed. The staff is really great and they seem to be aware but not in control of food in the kitchen - meaning, whomever is running the kitchen is having the staff put out and serve food that should have been tossed. I don’t believe it used to be this way and hopefully a change is made in the kitchen. Stick to the coffee for now.

Yummy and super cute brunch spot! Immediately walking in, you see the big wall with cute flower wallpaper that just makes you happy. I had a Savory Quiche which was a good portion. Loved the crispy cheese topping. Not overcooked, crust was good... Overall, a yummy morsel. My friend had a dirty chai latte - loved how big their mugs were! I wanted a juice, which they only had fresh squeezed orange juice or apple. I opted for the fresh squeezed orange juice, which was good but overpriced ($6 for a tiny bottle). We came around 9am when there weren't too many people. There seemed to be a lot of people working on their laptops, so must be a good place for WiFi access and outlets. There is also a tent for some outdoor seating, but there's plenty of seating inside as well. Lots of parking in the area. Service was fantastic. The lady taking our order was so sweet and joyful. And we got our order fairly quickly. Customers seemed to increase more for lunchtime.

First off, the lady who works behind the counter is darling. You could not have picked a better person to run the front counter. I had the vegan scramble which was scrumptious. The cafe itself is lively, which little cafes typically are. If you're a loner like me, they have a nice little seating area towards the front where you can sit and look out on the patio. Very nice experience! I'll be back.
I had the pleasure of visiting Nutmeg Bakery and Cafe in Scripps Ranch and everything was delicious. For breakfast, I ordered the eggs Benedict with avocado instead of ham, and it came with potatoes. Eggs were poached to perfection, had creamy hollandaise sauce, and avo was fresh. The side of potatoes was crispy and well seasonedTo satisfy my sweet tooth, my friend and I tried the mixed berry muffin and a slice of pecan pie. Both were incredibly delicious, and the pecan pie is absolutely amazing (and is the perfect fall treat)Also I had a salted caramel latte with almond milk, which had the right balance of flavors. The service was warm and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy.I can't wait to come back and explore more of their offerings!

I agree with some other yelpers, the food is average, we go the rueban sandwiches and it was so nasty! There's no taste whosoever! It tastes like cardboard! The cabbage was just colored, it's not picked, not seasoned etc! what da!The mocha is. Not bad that basically it!

The concept of ordering your food and choosing your own space indoors or out is great. The decor is nice and modern.Given that this place is based on ordering your own food at the counter, I am disappointed at the efficiency of the ordering process on a Saturday morning. They should have menus in more locations than just at the register or post food options up on the wall so people can make decisions before reaching the 2 registers. Placing menus at the Halloween display would have been helpful. Twenty minutes is a bit excessive to have to wait and order when it could have been easily remedied.Food was average, but came out fast. I ordered a London Fog, but was served regular black tea. To get back in the line to fix it would have been a huge waste of time considering I wanted to be there to spend time with my people, not to wait in line again. The girl bussing the table was super nice. Overall, if you need a nice place to sit and catch up with friends, this is a decent establishment. Better food & service can be found elsewhere.
