Well, I was very disappointed in this place !! our server didn’t seem too happy, even though they were shorthanded. She acted like it was my fault. but the bartender inside was very helpful and had the best service he was a highlight amazing bloody Mary’s probably the best in OB ,but the service was horrible by the attitude of our waitress..

A couple days ago there was a post asking about the best eggs benedict in OB. A lot of people had recommended Surf Lodge and since I was unfamiliar with eggs benedict (and it is something I would not usually order), guess where I visited yesterday on my day off. ? I went to OB Surf Lodge and had to try their well talked about Crab & Bacon Benny which is seasoned crab cakes, sliced tomato, arugula, crumbled bacon, poached eggs & hollandaise served on rustic sourdough. I now see why it was well recommended as it was a happily delicious meal. Surf Lodge is also a great spot to just lounge and people watch while feeling the ocean breeze blowing through their spot. I got to talking with David the manager after I had already placed my order and he said he loves this meal and instead of it on sourdough toast he gets it on English muffins. I feel that’s a valuable pro insider tip and now can’t wait to try it again that way.

4 of us had brunch on a Monday and the food was absolutely fabulous. Hot chicken biscuit, crab Benny, carnitas Benny, and chicken fried steak - plus a biscuit trio and candied bacon for the table!! We didn’t have a favorite, it was all so good. Good sized crowd for a Monday as well which speaks to the quality of the place. The coffee drinks were also really tasty and fun. We will definitely be back for happy hour!

Best biscuits I’ve had in my life! Seriously, I’m shocked this place hasn’t made it on TV yet. The breakfast was hands down one of the best things I’ve eaten. Wow!

Insultingly bad food. They slapped one or two pieces of deli meat on a couple slices of bread and called it a Monte Cristo sandwich. The Brie French toast had about 1 mg of Brie. The only time I've ever seen a restaurant do something like this is when they were on the verge of bankruptcy and something tells me OB surf Lodge will be no more if they keep doing this.

Atmosphere was flowing, lively but chill at once; the food, drinks, and service were excellent, and we experienced an unparalleled sunset viewing. I was visiting from the East Coast (MD) and I'm definitely coming back!!!

I was sitting at the bar with my date and we ordered some food and drinks. The smashed burger and the Lodge Burger were both great but honestly what really impressed me was the Expresso Martini that the bartender Alejandro made us. It was really good.

Came for the view and was not disappointed in that regard but the service was sloooow. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurance or we just came on an off day (9am Saturday) but when we were seated absolutely no one in the restaurant was served yet. I got the avocado toast and it was average at best.

Surf Lodge is always pretty good. You can't beat the location or the view and everyone who works there is always nice. I didn't get it this time but the Brie French toast is amazing. Solid brunch every time and all of the fried chicken items are crumbly and crunchy.

Really good food, great location right on the ocean. Love bringing our dog and hanging out on the patio.

We came here after realizing Wonderland was to noisy and crowded. Service was excellent, our server was constantly there checking on us and getting everything we needed...she was amazing. Food was overpriced for the amount given, the hummus plate barely came with anything of substance on it and the goat cheese only had 4 pieces. The taste of the goat cheese and warm honey though was absolutely amazing. Great outside for people watching as you're directly over the sidewalk.

Jan 19th: A nice restaurant on the beach...what more could you want! Walked in and everyone greeted me with a smile, and offered me a seat anywhere. I went for a seat on the patio so I could check my surroundings while I enjoyed a beer and food. I was not disappointed...the sun was partially out, and it was far from cold. I ordered the short rib flatbread which was ok. I think it was in some kind of bbq sauce, so it was just ok. The beer was cold, and I met a cool couple who made the experience even better.
