We have never had such a poor pizza. When we get home, I will post a picture of what really good pizza looks like. The difference will make the difference in taste obvious.

We had a wonderful meal at Petrini's! The food was excellent, very homemade tasting , just delicious! Also, our server was very sweet and gave us suggestions about other places to see in San Diego! Just a wonderful experience!

Traveling in San Diego recently we came upon Petrini's as an option for Door Dash to our hotel. We were very pleased! Everything from the salad and garlic bread to the lasagna was perfect. I don't feel my photo of the lasagna does it any justice. I like how there was no meat in the layering, just in the sauce.

This place is soo good!! I had the marinara spaghetti with garlic butter mushrooms and it was incredible. Our waitress was very nice and helped us pick out some good wine to go with our food. I think the prices are pretty reasonable for the high quality food they're serving.

We've driven by so many times over the years but always thought it looked too fancy. On Friday we parked nearby intending to trek down India to a more casual spot. We saw the menu outside and prices seemed fair and it was still early (before 5) so we stopped in and were able to get seated without a reservation. Our server was nice (per receipt her name was Heloisa). We really enjoyed the calamari and David's wings! We had the minestrone which was ok. Hubby got the fish livornese and vegetable dish and was happy with his selection. I had the baked ziti which was ok but I'd try something different in the future. The bread was great. All in all a nice meal and spot for date night.

We had a lovely evening on a Monday. We were seated right in time and the service was excellent. Food was delicious. We had the cannelloni, lamb pasta and the mushroom pasta with olive oil. All 3 were delicious and well prepared. The salads were good and not too big. The toast they brought with dinner was a little soggy- the only disappointment. But we had so much food it wasn't an issue. You will not be disappointed.
Eggplant parm was delicious. Not a gigantic portion, but perfect for me. Spaghetti with mushrooms and meat sauce was a more typically generous portion, and also excellent. We will definitely return. Also - the house Cabernet did not disappoint! And make sure you save room for the tiramisu!
Excellent gem of a find. Stayed at Westin. Walked here for dinner. Great build out. Love the atmosphere. Server was sooooo nice. Food incredible. Chicken Parmesan is epic! Wine list is not huge, but can find a great bottle. Chocolate Bomba for dessert is stellar! Want a great dinner....nice atmosphere....great server.....eat here.

The food is not high quality like other Italian places in little Italy. Not impressed with the lasagna or baked ziti. The meat sauce was oily, gritty and too salty. But to be fair, my boyfriend liked it and ate all of it. To each their own.The gnocchi was good but very cheesy. The staff are nice and prices are good - i think this place is better cut out to stop in for a happy hour drink and an app rather than ordering a full dinner.
