I don't go here much but it has excellent coffee. Great location in the heart of Del Mar Heights near many restaurants. Good seating and wifi to do some work while you wait for say the carwash.

Quality is not consistent. Philz Coffee offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or tackling work. I usually get the Mint Mojito Iced Coffee and it's usually amazing on end but recent times the roast I got was bitter and highly acidic.

Came by after having lunch in the area. Tried an iced honey haze on a hot day. It was good, but I wish the coffee had a stronger, richer, bolder taste. It was a bit on the sweeter side. You can customize your drink to your liking but it was a bit overwhelming for me with all the available options. Drinks came out fast, and there are dine in and outdoor seating available. Lots of shared parking with other venues at the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. Service was ok, the cashier who took my order was helpful. The baristas were nice too, I just wished they labeled the drinks without me asking. I think it's common sense to label the drinks if there are no sticker labels, especially if I'm a single person picking up three different orders. I asked and they labeled it no problem, just felt like I was a burden to have to ask.

l would give it zero if could. Such a terrible experience. Rude service , bad coffee- I think the milk was bad. Try any of the other local shops , I am surprised they are in business Update: So I went back again , thinking I would try the coffee again. Same rude service. Gave it one last shot. No better than the first two.

A trip to Cali isn't complete without a trip to Philz! I ordered my standard Mint Mojito coffee and it was just like I remembered when I had it last in 2019 (take that Covid, you can't mess up these tastebuds!!)

Had coffee here today. Not sure how they are in business, the vibe is bad employees are rude and the coffee is not good. On top of that it wasn't clean. There are so many good coffee shops nearby, Bird Rock is fantastic and coffee is organic and staff is nice same with Parakeet. Pass on Phil's.

Move over, generic iced coffees. Philz Coffee in Del Mar isn't peddling lukewarm mediocrity - they're brewing up liquid sunshine with their "Iced Philtered Soul, Philz way." Let me tell you, it's a soul soother unlike any other this side of a Hemingway mojito in Havana. Picture this: California sunshine bottled in a glass. The Philtered Soul starts with smooth, shade-roasted beans, brewed hot and then chilled to perfection. No bitterness, no burnt aftertaste, just pure, clean coffee satisfaction. But here's where the Philz magic happens: their signature "craft taste." Forget sugary syrups masquerading as flavor. They offer a symphony of house-made, seasonal concoctions, like a jazz riff on a classic. I opted for the "Tesora," a delightful melody of caramel, almond, and orange blossom notes. It wasn't a heavy-handed solo, but a perfectly harmonized trio with the coffee, adding a touch of sweetness and complexity. But wait, there's more! Remember the "Philz way" part? That means they hand-pour your coffee, love in every step. They're the coffee conductors, knowing exactly how much ice and flavor to add, creating a balanced, refreshing masterpiece. No watery mess, just smooth, delicious coffee with every sip. This Iced Philtered Soul isn't just a drink, it's an experience. It's a moment of Zen amidst the daily grind, a taste of summer even on a winter day. It's the perfect pick-me-up for a Hemingwayesque hangover, or a cool companion for a Kerouac-inspired road trip down the Del Mar shore. Don't be afraid to get adventurous with the "craft taste" options. The baristas are coffee wizards, and they'll help you find the perfect flavor combination to match your own unique literary hero.

Coffee so pure its boring, If you like it black then it matters in this joint, Milk is only for the toast, but heavy cream is okay, Inclusive service, but only if you want "their" selective diverse variety, If vegan I'm guessing you'll love the restricted oppression. To be fare - the poor over is nice, but the attitude of their virtuous and pure coffee nature is unforgiving. Go see for yourself but don't expect milk or anything that resembles the other 95%. All said, go judge for yourself and stop looking at the reviews!

The coffee here is great, especially the Mint Mojito and Philtered Soul crafted drinks. Wonderful drip coffee with a fun twist. Lots of seating inside + wifi, and the staff members are always kind and get my drink out quickly. You can also order ahead on the app for a quicker interaction. If you're a latte person, this may be a bit different than expected, but I love it!

Waited over 20 minutes for a regular drip coffee. Coffee was absolutely terrible. While waiting, a poor little boy started projectile vomiting. The staff stood around for 10 minutes like complete morons before they decided to clean it up. First thing I will be doing Tuesday morning of the new year is calling the Health and Human Services Agency and filing a complaint. Absolutely disgusting.
