I've been to Pho Xpress on a few occasions for lunch and have had quite a few different items including the pho, vermicelli and banh mi sandwiches. It's a convenient spot in downtown nestled amongst office buildings which of course makes it a great spot for lunch. However it is pretty small so may not be ideal for large parties. It's a cozy restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating on their small front patio. Each time I have been here the staff has been welcoming and attentive, and the dishes came out quickly. On those occasions where I get take out, the food is always hot and ready at the front register. If you're doing take out, you can conveniently order and pay online. One thing I will say is that the prices are a little more than what I'm used to paying for Vietnamese food. The banh mi was $8 and the pho ranges between $12-15 and all other dishes average about $15. But I do keep in mind that it is located downtown and I am willing to pay for quality food that is tasty, which is the case at Pho Xpress.

It was my first time to Pho Xpress. The tofu spring rolls were tasty and so was the beef pho. The food was cooked to order and it was made pretty quickly. The staff were super nice and attentive to the patrons. The restaurant was smaller than I thought but it had a welcoming setting. It was quiet and clean. I can't wait to come back for more delicious pho when I'm back in San Diego.

Arrive for a business lunch around 1pm on Friday March 29th We ordered and the food was served quickly I ordered a STIR FRY TOFU when it arrived I looked at it and wondered - I called over someone and asked where was the Tofu explaining I ordered Tofu - I counted only 6 (six)|small triangles of Tofu -and near 90% assorted vegetables Given Tofu costs between $2-3 per pound at retail If lucky this was 2oz of that block of Tofu The staff person just shrugged it off and said it was the portion and nobody ever complained In my book what ever you call the DISH should be the MAIN ingredient = Stir Fry TOFU should be mostly TOFU Terrible attitude

Cute little spot in the heart of downtown San Diego. steak w. brisket & flank pho was hands down my favorite. They also have some pretty amazing tasting boba here. Go check them out you'll be very satisfied.

Absolutely amazing experience, I chanced on this place walking to the trolley station, and let me tell you, I lucked out. Everyone there is welcoming and helpful and the atmosphere is great. The food is sooooo good. I had the tofu stir fry and might have it again tomorrow because I was so appalled. My tummy is rumbling right now just thinking about it.
