I had the Mahi Mahu sandwich with a side of calamari. Hands down most delicious I've had in a really long time. I gad the sandwich without sauce, but the garlic butter sauce on the side and the sandwich was phenomenal without the sauce, but even better with it! 10 out of 10 recommend and will go back anytime I'm in Point Loma!

If you’re looking for fish and chips, give the Fish Shop in Point Loma a try. Fish was crisp, not too oily and served in large proportion along with fries. The calamari was ok and they have a good selection of beers and other spirits along with a soda fountain. The tables were amply supplied with condiments and the atmosphere was very chill.Easy street parking for a Friday night but do expect short lines.

Fish Shop in Point Loma.Came for lunch. Dodged the rain.We ordered Fish and chips, bowl of clam chowder, crab cake, and kids chicken fingers.- Fish and chips, good portion or beautifully fried delicate white fish. Good flavor, fries are decent.- Crab cake, again, good size. Lump crab meat inside. Tasty. Fried really nicely. Came with a nice caramelized onion horseradish sauce. I usually don't care for horseradish but this was not over powering at all.Clam chowder, very tasty, big chunks of potato and clam. Served with oyster crackersAll in all I thought everything was good and would definitely return.

While it’s a lovely and spacious shop, the fish sandwiches and tacos left a lot to be desired. We ordered 4 different dishes and seasoning styles to try it all out. All lacked acidity, taste, and warmth from being cooked. Servers are very nice and the drinks were well made which gives this place a very generous 3 stars.

Worst halibut sandwich I've ever eaten. Way overcooked and so dry I had to slather a bucket of tartar sauce on it to get it down. The bread was great but not worth $20.00.

My go to restaurant for a fish lunch in Pt Loma . Outdoors, fresh fish (not farmed except the Salmon). Cooked with your choice of flavoring/oil. This is not a joint but an attractive clean nice condition outdoor small restaurant. I am a fish lover. It's hard to find a casual fresh fish restaurant . I no longer live in San Diego but whenever I come to town I try to eat at one of the 3 fish shop locations. The others are in Pacific beach and Encinitas. I've never had a bad meal here.Note to fish shop- please open a location in South Orange County.

Got takeout and ate it as soon as I got home, fresh as can be. Unfortunately, it was just so bland. The fish was mediocre honestly, despite the stellar recommendations we've gotten for it. We'll have to try somewhere else next time.
