a slophouse masquerading as a mexican restaurant incompotent chefs couldnt cook a single breakfast in less than 20 mins and the chiliqiules were soggy, the eggs were over cooked . the meat was lazily placed on the side. Avoid this location they are hiring friends or family or people off the street because this was the worst meal ive ever had at a mexican restaurant.

Very disappointed. I ordered food for delivery. I paid $4.40 for a beverage that was not delivered to me. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with Alex, an employee. He told me that he did not know how to refund my money. He also told me that there was no manager on site to assist me. He said I could drop by and pick up the beverage. Not convenient for an older person with cataracts, who cannot drive at night. This was the reason for the delivery. No apology for the error on the part of the restaurant. All Alex said was that he would write down my name and give it to someone and that the next time I could have a free beverage. I also checked with the delivery service. They were not given my beverage by the restaurant to deliver, only the food. Very poor service from the restaurant. This is not the first time this has happened. I also ordered food on a previous occasion and, did not get the full order in the bag. Very poor service. No apology from the staff. I will not be using this restaurant in the future.

This is the best! They are so friendly and helpful. The 619 monster burritos are incredible with the primo sauce. We had leftovers for days. We ordered food 10 min before closing and they happily helped us. Definitely recommend!

I was pleasantly surprised when I ate here. It was Taco Tuesday with $2.50 tacos and it was delicious! And, the chips they give you were one of the best I've eaten. As an added bonus, the staff is very friendly. Do yourself a favor and go here for some yummy Mexican food!

Sadly not what it used to be. Been in Rancho Bernardo for a while and Primos was a convenient spot to pick up a breakfast burrito or something else. Since last year I've noticed prices have gone up and quality has gone down. A Jr. burrito used to be $8.50 back in 2021, now it's $12 base and only for a couple burritos on the menu.I usually get the Cali Surf and back then a monster Cali Surf was $15-$16. Now it's $20+. The tortilla is heavy as in very bread like and doesn't have flavor or absorb the flavors inside the burrito. The seasoning or flavors in the burrito just don't hit anymore. I had $11 breakfast burrito from a small place a bit north and it was way way better than what I've gotten here.If you get here after 10:30 AM, you may expext waits of 20 minutes or more. Longest I've had was 35+ minutes. The inside is nice but I never see it packed. It's not only the inflation on food ingredients, it's probably the rent on the building too.

Excellent taco shop option for the rancho bernardo area where mexican food can usually be pretty scarce to find.

5 stars isn't enough for Primos! Great food and drink specials with friendly service everyday.

Honestly...not the best Rancho Bernardo has to offer for Mexican food. I'm giving it a 2 cause the food was edible and the Jamica was good but otherwise I would steer clear ...there is a Roberto's less than a 1 min walk north from here. Definitely more authentic Mex than Primos. This was my carne "Torta" for $15.00!!! SMH. Edible with what little meat they gave me on a sub roll. no cotija chz. More of an American take on a Torta. Not that great at all. But...I was hungry. Won't be going back.

The food is sometimes good, but usually not great. The prices are too high, it's usually not a good value. Taco Tuesday seems to be the exception here, they have good carnitas and carne asada tacos for a decent price on Tuesday. I like their chips and salsa. I only come here on Tuesdays and only for tacos.

Excellent food. Extremely authentic. Service was fabulous. The ambiance absolutely wonderful. Will absolutely come here again. They have other locations however I'm in Rancho Bernardo area. Come visit this place if you want real authentic Mexican food. I had the Surf Turf Salad Bowl.

The food is good but the cashier lady clearly hates her job. She was very rude rolling her eyes, not helpful with menu questions. Asking her anything other than just placing an order was a HUGE inconvenience to her. Awful experience.

I love trying California Burritos where ever I go, and this one didn't disappoint! The atmosphere was your typical taco shop. They're located on the edge of a shopping center, but the parking wasn't bad. The lady who took our order/cashier was friendly. The reason they're only getting four stars is because of their prices. Two drinks, one burrito and one entrée with rice/beans was $32...at a taco shop, not even a sit-down Mexican restaurant. I know inflation is a thing, but that seems a little high to me.
